Located just 3 minutes walk from Richmond High Street & station is this lovely garden apartment/condo in an Victorian building. Beautifully designed interior to a high standard, accommodation consists of reception room with flat screen TV & DVD, designer kitchen with granite worktops, dishwasher, hob/stove top, double oven, and microwave. The master bedroom has a Queen bed, with bay window. The dining area with table that seats 4 with doors leading out into the 60' private landscaped rear garden with gas BBQ, tables, chairs.

Second bedroom has a two single beds.

The beautifully designed bathroom has, jacuzzi bath with overhead shower, granite top vanity unit and wc.

WiFi throughout the property.

Off street parking in the driveway for 1 or 2 cars.

Convenient London base

My wife and I were looking for a convenient base in London for about 10 days, and we found this Richmond apartment to be ideal. In a really good location very near the centre of Richmond, including the station , it is well appointed, and importantly for us has offroad parking. The apartment was exactly as described , and all the arrangements were handled without any fuss. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends , and would hope to stay there again ourselves in the future.

Suitable for Vacation and Short Working Stays

I was living with two kids for five months in the apartment from Aug 2013 until Feb 2014. The apartment is located in the base floor and it has a garden. The garden has a little cabin where we were able to store our bikes. The kids room and the living room face the garden. The sleeping room faces the road.

We highly appreciated the central location, the garden, the way it was furnished and the quality / appearance of the kitchen, the nice property manager and a friendly landlord. The flat is just located 3 walking minutes away from Richmond station and 5 walking minutes away from the Quadrant, Richmond's heart of the city with many shops and services available. Richmond is lovely and a great combination of a small town in close geographic proximity to a mega-city. Getting into the heart of London takes approx. 30 min via Tube or Rail. Getting to Heathrow take an hour by Tube and approx. 30 min by car. The rent property came with a parking lot which is a true privilige in this neighbourhood. In addtion, the apartment had high speed wifi and a printer which I was able to revive again togehter with the desk lights. Cable TV worked perfect, but the screen size is rather small. The BBQ gas grill in the garden was enriching our stay after some high insensity cleaning.

When we arrived, the apartment was not 100% perfect. It appeared to be clean, but after taking a second look, we had to do some work (remove dirt & remodel the grouts in the bathroom, remove & replace mouldy sealants, clean upholstery, reclean the dishes and making the house wheather & winter proof). The working desk in the sleeping room still requires new edge tape, the desk chair has stains and is not working. The fences in the garden need to be partially replaced.

Richmond and especially the apartment itself is within the landing corridor of Heathrow. Depending on the weather and the time of the day, aircrafts are flying high but noticable above the houses. It took us some time to adjust, but after a while we got used to it (like anybody in Richmond). The same held true for the busy Church Road outside the sleeping room.

To sum up the apartment is a good choice for people & small families who want to visit London. Its central location, functional & decent equipment, and charme outperfom the issues encountered in the beginning, the environmental noise and the somewhat aged state of the house.

If I had to go back, I would rent it again.

Richmond has an abundance of shops, restaurants, cafes, and lots more including Richmond Theatre, swimming pool, golf courses, horse riding in Richmond park and lovely walks along the river Thames. Richmond high street and Underground and Train station 3 minute walk away. On the London Underground Tube and Train line for easy access to London.

Richmond is served by the London Underground trains as well as overground trains taking you straight into the city centre. The centre of London is only a 20 minute train ride and Heathrow airport is only a 20-minute drive away.

Nearby Kew is also home to the Royal Botanical Kew Gardens and the Public Records Office with records treasures from The National Archives. You can find landmarks of a thousand years of British history ranging from the Doomsday book to Henry VIII to Oliver Cromwell to Bonnie Prince Charlie, Samuel Pepys to Olaudah Equiano, with records revealing many aspects of British history and the wider world.

You can take boat rides along the river Thames to

Hampton Court Palace which dates back to Henry the VIII. A longer boat ride in the opposite direction will take you all the way to Westminster. Further afield, Richmond is ideally located for exploring places like Windsor and Warwick Castles, Stonehenge and Stratford-Upon-Avon.
