Holiday 17th October 2010
Review Submitted: 28 October 2010
Date of Stay: October 2010
I have to say I agree with all the previous reviews this vila is superb and was everything and more we required for our stay for myself, wife and 2 children aged 2&4. Ana was more than helpful during our stay, especially when we managed to lock ourselves out of the vila whilst down at the swimming pool & tennis court. Ana provided us with tennis equipment for us to use during our stay, which me and my son made use of. It was great to have the use of 3 toilets, with 2 kids this was very handy, aslo with a shower in each of these as well, even handier. Forgot to take my adaptor to plug from the IPOD into the vila system so didn't get to take advantage of this, so don't forget yours if you are visiting as it is worth while. The vila is located on the out skirts of Albufeira, with the kids took us about 30 mins to walk into the Old Town but it is a lovely walk there now with all the development which is going on. Return is uphill so towards the end we got a taxi back which was only 4 euro. The walk to new town takes about 10 mins longer and be warned its a bit of a climb at the start but once at LIDL supermarket it's then downhill. We had a car for our visit and was glad of this for the ease of getting around to places we wanted to visit. I played golf at Solgados golf course which was a great course and only 25 euro when playing ater 2pm, with club and buggy hire total cost was 75 euro, be warned if your off line your in the water. This course was only 15 mins drive away and another course only 15 mins drive away is the Balia course which is also a top course, so this vila is ideal if you want to stay & play some golf in the sun. We also visited the Zoomarina twice for the kids, this is well worth the money but ensure you get your 4 euro discount vouchers at the airport or book tickets through an agent in town as chaper than the 24 euro it cost if you just turn up. We also visited the Karting at Almancil, which was excellent, has karts which both our kids could go on, Junior karts 125cc on a decent size track which my 4 year old went on, and then a track for the adults. There is also floating boats which the kids ride around on and trampolining. Junior karts was 11 euro for 10 mins adults 22 euro in a 390cc kart for 10 mins. We also visited a crazy golf course which had 2 18 hole courses this was in Vilamoura and good fun, cost for this was over 5s 15 euro for both, under 5s 2 euro. I hope this info proves useful.
