The house is in wonderful condition -- with a well-kept garden and fresh and clean interior. Enjoy the garden from the porch -- for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Take a short walk down Tween Walls to enjoy the property's private waterfront with wonderful views of Mangrove Bay, Somerset Village and the point at Dock Yard. Venture down the steps to the cottage's tiny, private beach backed by limestone cliffs.

hard to beat

Fabulous house for a family holiday - the photographs don't do it justice. It is much bigger inside than the photos suggest and, also, the garden is enormous and totally private. Literally just a couple of minutes' walk from one of the most picturesque bus stops in the world, getting around the island by bus and ferry was SO easy. The West End of the island has far prettier beaches and far more going on than the East End, so this house is perfectly located. Also, H2O WaterSports is a five minutes' walk away and perfect for everything you might want to do on the turquoise sea. Somerset Long Beach is also just a five minutes' walk away and we would not have believed that it was possible to swim with so many turtles in the water underneath and right beside you. Snorkeling is a must - there are so many fish to see and quite different from bay to bay - and having your own private beach (albeit a very small one) seems a total indulgence. The pace of life in Bermuda is slow and relaxing, so perfect for holidays, and the local people are incredibly warm and welcoming. My wife and I and our three teenage children had the most wonderful holiday ever here. Only two downsides, in my opinion. First, absolutely everything in Bermuda is expensive (between two and five times the price of what we're used paying in the UK!), so don't go unless you're willing to splash the cash. Second - and this is just a small detail - but I think the lawn would benefit from being cut more frequently. Otherwise, though, we found the owner absolutely brilliant to liaise with and immensely helpful.

The perfect family get away

The coach house is the perfect family home, beautiful exterior, tastefully decorated interior, large garden with mature trees, veranda and well equipped kitchen. Our family have stayed twice at The Coach House and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. A short walk to the bus stop and you are twenty minutes from the best beaches of Southamton or ten minutes from the Dockyard. Our family would spend the mornings at the south shore beaches and finished the afternoon resting and playing In the garden. Our son really enjoyed walking to the Cambridge beaches Dock and fishing with the locals. Thankyou beth, we had the best holiday ever! We're hoping to come back :)

The definition of perfection.

The Coach House was just perfect. It was so refreshing and relaxing to have such a positive 'end-to-end' experience. From the first email we sent, Beth was so responsive and helpful. Then when we had booked the information she provided regarding the house and surrounds was detailed and incredibly helpful. Then when we arrived, the house was exactly as pictured and exactly as described. It was clean, beautifully maintained and with every amenity. The house was close to the beach but also incredibly comfortable when we wanted time at home. It was pleasure to spend time in the garden, in the large kitchen or in the 2 living areas.We would highly recommend this residence to everyone - it was a fantastic time and a holiday experience together we will never forget.

Amazing Coach House

We booked a three weeks day at the coach house in mangrove Bay and or delighted by every aspect. The house is beautifully, set up, immaculately, clean, and in a park, light setting with absolute privacy on all four sides. Cooking in the expensive kitchen with very commodious preparation space is a true joy. Local supermarkets are of a very high standard and provide. Everything one could need. Local farms Are also furnishing fresh produce! Everything about Coach House was absolutely perfect. We rented a small car for the duration of our stay and found it very useful for day, trips and trips to the nearby royal dockyard to catch the ferry to Hamilton. We also use the car to drive to Saint David’s St. George’s and the amazing beach at Cooper’s Island. This is truly a remarkable house rental and I recommend it with no reservations whatsoever.

Slice of heaven

My family of five stayed at coach house last year. We loved it so much we came back this year. Amazing space, BEAUTIFUL yard, well stocked house for cooking. The ONLY negative would be the pull-out couch in the front livingroom. My 19yr old stayed on it and was struggling to get a good night sleep so he switched to the air mattress that was also provided. Comically, the air mattress would slowly deflate during the night so he would wake up in a kind of human hotdog situation. It won't stop us from coming back though. I would just recommend bringing a camping roll. We returned this year with my parents who stayed up the road at Cambridge beaches. The house was perfect for meals together or a space for all seven of us to play games. I truly cant wait until our next opportunity to return! Thank you for sharing the space!
