We stayed for 2 nights in Ballyhoura Forest Luxury homes and we had the time of our life!!!! The nature is stunning and the house had all the comforts we needed. I definitely recommend everyone to go and enjoy this fantastic experience!!

Guest house had everything we needed. Very comfortable and immaculately kept. All the rooms were big so we had plenty of room to relax. The wood burning stove was a big hit---enjoyed it very much. Each bedroom had its own bathroom --- a nice perk that we've never had before in a rental. As a traveler from the US, we appreciated having a hair dryer there! Owners Mary and John were so helpful in showing us around the place and answering questions. Our house was next to a farm so we were able to watch the cows in the pasture. It was so peaceful! There was also an adjoining trail through the woods which was beautiful. I think the thing that struck me the most was the sheer tranquility. It was so quiet. As my daughter said, "You don't hear any man-made sounds. Only nature." I wish I were still there...
On arrival we were met by John who provided us with such a lovely warm welcome and advised us of all the activities in the area.
The lodges blew us away. They were of such a high standard and you could easily stay a week without leaving them (except to get supplies)
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the lodges to anybody and look forward to the opportunity to return there once more.absolutely magical. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.!!!!!!
We had a fantastic few days away in ballyhoura forest. The house was beautiful and had all the facilities a family needs for a pleasant stay, like a home from home. I would definitely recommend for families, our children had a ball there
A group of friends stayed at Ballyhoura holiday homes at the August bank holiday this year. We had a great weekend away. The property is well maintained and was very clean on arrival. After getting the grand tour and the do's and don'ts from Mary we were able to just get on and enjoy the weekend. The house was well stocked with maps/walks and brochures for the area. We used these to go for a hike on one day and then went to the mountainbiking course for the second afternoon. The house was well equiped for all our needs, the only thing I could suggest is to have some outside furniture to sit/eat out if the weather is nice. I would have no problem recommending the house to anyone, perfect for families or groups of friends.
We stayed in Ballyhoura in mid Oct and had a lovely time. The cottages were very nicely decorated, spacious and well equipped. The stove made it lovely and cosy. My husband and his friend found the mountain biking exhilarating and myself and my friend enjoyed a lovely walk in beautiful surroundings.
Ideally situated in a forest.Your perfect Getaway. Relax and unwind. This place is authentic, unspoilt rural Ireland. A stay in the Ballyhoura region is the best anecdote to the hectic pace of life in the 21st century. Wake up to the sounds of birds singing.
It really is a rural retreat. There are numerous walks, both forest and river to accommodate all levels and of course mountain climbing. There is an extensive children's playground on site. Adventure Sports are also available locally. We also have the spectacular Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails consisting of 96km of single trail designed by world renowned trail designer, Daffyd Davis. The trails are the largest trail network in Ireland and consist of forest roads leading you into tight twisty single track and plenty of ups and downs. There is an excellent pub in the local village, Ballyorgan next to the Houses. Kilfinnane village is just 5km away with shops,
pubs and restaurants. Come and Enjoy the Experience, Memories last.
