Our family welcomes you this charming home. Randy and I are Landlords in Manhattan and have been in the business for 29 years. We have properties located in and around Kansas State University that we rent to college students. However, when we purchased this property it had a different feel to it. We had a vision to make it a special vacation retreat to share it with others.
We love the charm and character that older homes have and decided to restore and decorate it much like our own 100 year old farm house. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Susan purchased this house in 2011
I certainly enjoyed this comfortable home to stay in during my daughter's Mom's weekend at K-State. What a great place to invite other moms and daughters to visit over a cup of coffee or order a meal and dine in away from the crowded restaurants. Wish I would have discovered it sooner as by third child is about to graduate from K-state.
We rented this property for graduation weekend! The house is simply fantastic! This home is a home away from home. Susan is great to work with and so helpful throughout the booking process. We will always try to rent this home whenever we are in Manhattan. Having a fully stocked kitchen is wonderful as you don't have to eat all of your meals out. Two beds and two baths - can't get any better than this place.
I rented this home for Thanksgiving weekend which also was the weekend of the KU - KSU football game. My five children, three in college and two in high school, were able to have a great Thanksgiving Day in our "home" in Manhattan. The house exceeded my expectations. The location was great. Susan was very easy to work with and very helpful with booking the house. I plan to rent this home again in the future.
Loved the house and space. Bathrooms very nice and up-to-date. Easy walk to Aggieville. Would have given 5 stars if the cable had included sport channels. The husbands wanted to watch college football during our down time.
My brothers (6 of us) and I were lucky enough to rent this home for a football and family weekend in Manhattan. Susan was very helpful during the booking process and I must say the home is exceptionally clean, well maintained and better than we expected. It is located in an ideal area close to all of the college action but enough space that we could hold a "washers" tournament in the backyard. Thank you Susan & Randy for a truly memorable weekend!!
This was a gem for its location to campus for our long weekend. We walked to campus and Aggieville restaurants the whole stay. I loved the front porch & we people watched as we are right down in the middle of student off campus housing. That provided a good feel for Manhattan for us. Parking was easy, the kitchen was well stocked, the accomdations were beautiful & had obviously been redone recently. The outside is plain, but the inside is very comfortable. Only one TV which was only a complaint when we couldn't agree on what to watch ... but that is hardly worth complaining about. I would love a hot tub in the backyard. As we have a daughter headed to KSU, we will be back!
Within 1 block is the Kansas State University campus and the Beach Museum. Aggieville is just 1 1/2 blocks south and offers shopping, dining, and a great night life. The city park is just 1 block south of Aggieville. It offers a huge pool, a children's sprinkler park, a wonderful playground, and every Friday night during the summer a live band performs which is family oriented. The downtown district and Mall is only about 1 mile away. The newly opened Flinthills Discovery center would be a great place to explore.
