The view from front and back is always compelling. We spent every morning on the balcony, in every kind of weather, stunned by the panorama. Noise was minimal with the roar of the ocean in control.
Air conditioning was not perfect but did the job. New hard flooring in the suite is perfect.
Will certainly be back.
Most of the reviews are spot on for this unit. It is an older unit, but a fantastic location. The condo is well equipped with most everything that you could need. The condo does need an overhaul but it is more from the years and not so much from anything else. The bathroom door does not close, the owners are very difficult to contact, and the management on site is basically non existent. The pool is perfect, the grounds are gorgeous, the view to die for, and the location is easy to find. It was very warm when we were there, so air conditioning in the bedroom would have been a huge help, but for the cost we were able to manage. I will definitely stay in this complex again, but until this one condo has been upgraded I will look at others. This is a third floor unit without an elevator...be aware!
The condo and view were exactly like the pictures. It was old and needed updating but it was clean and everything worked. The wall to wall light colored carpet has a lot of what looked like red wine stains all over it. A good steam cleaning once a year should be mandatory but it had been vacuumed. The one other thing that bothered me was the sliding screens on the patio door. Every time you went to pull them across they would come off the track and were awkward to put back on. Very annoying - as we had a lot of rain that week and wanted to keep the bugs out. Now for the positive. The price was right. It had a small but very nice clean pool. The condo bldg. was in a perfect location for going up or down Island. 10 minutes from Lihue and about an hour car ride to Waimea Canyon (farthest point west) and about 45 minutes ride to the top of the north end. The unit is on the top floor (3rd) no elevator, so you must be in half decent shape. When the patio doors are open the waves drown out the roosters (take ear-plugs if you are a light sleeper). The king bed was very comfortable and the washer and dryer were great. The cleaning people left starter kits for the kitchen and bathroom which was very much appreciated. The one thing you really need to know, when you arrive at the condo, there is a small office. You go in and sign yourself in. There is no-one there to answer questions. You must have with you your confirmation e-mail they send you once you have paid which tells you which room # and also the lock box code to get your room key. Once inside the room there is another key on counter. When you leave, you do not see anyone, you just leave one key on counter and put the other back in lock box. There is an emergency # on wall in this little office to call if you have problems. However, if you don't have a cell phone or if you're from another country and don't want roaming charges you are in trouble. There was a couple who did not have their room or lock box # and it took close to an hour to find the info they needed. The Manager lives in the first unit on the first floor - closest to the Hwy. (remember this) but he was not there. The girl who answered the door called someone and I was able to help this couple who could have waited hours as their English was not good. There should be a sign up in the office telling people what unit is the managers'. Would I stay here again - maybe not this unit - but in this bldg. - yes - the location is perfect.
Can't say enough about the view. It's amazing!! Everything in the condo was just as the owner describes it on VRBO. Great place to stay if you're going to visit north and south shores, it's halfway in between both. Left my camera charger in the unit and the owner sent it to me very quickly. Thanks again!!
My wife and I had a great time here, excellent view, good central location, property manager was very nice. this is a older unit but clean, close to the main road so there is a higher degree of traffic noise in the bedroom. That said it is overall a good value for the price and we would stay here again.
This 1 bedroom unit, likely built in the 1970s, was clean, functional and well located in the middle of an oceanfront complex. Views and ocean breezes were spectacular! We walked to coffee shops and shopping. A car for touring the many adventurous areas of the island is recommended.
