TRADITIONAL VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL, VIEW OF ARGOSTOLI BAY AND AINOS MOUNTAIN

We have recently returned from a weeks' holiday in Villa Mandola, and have already booked another week next year. We went on the recommendation of friends, and have since recommended it to other friends and family. We couldn't find a single fault.
The villa was clean and well maintained, the layout is perfect, the pool lovely and the view stunning. The owners provided excellent customer service and nothing was too much trouble. We were met at the airport and driven to the villa, where the hire car we had ordered was waiting for us.
My partner had recently been in hospital and we really wanted a week of complete rest. We spent a lot of time lazing round the pool doing absolutely nothing, which was heaven. We went out a couple of times to local restaurants which the owners recommended, and they were very good, and the remainder of the time we cooked on the barbecue.
Whilst we enjoyed total privacy, the owners were only ever a phone call away if we needed help with anything, and we felt as looked after as if we were staying in a hotel.
Next time we intend to explore more of the island and visit some of the beautiful beaches.
Our week at Villa Mandola was one of the most relaxing and delightful holidays we have ever had.

Villa Mendola - Top class hospitality in one of the most tranquil places we've been.... (and we've been to a few places in the world)

We took a long time to choose this villa and it was worth all the effort (we like to take our time over holiday locations - it took 4months to choose our honeymoon as we are incredibly fussy).

From the start everything was perfect. John met us at the airport with a smile and a warm welcome. We were driven to the villa (John even had a car seat for our baby). The villa is only a short drive from the airport - but you can't see or hear the planes as you are on the other side of the hill.

The villa is stunning, sitting in a small area which is owned by John & Mado on which they have a house and so do a few close members of their family. The villa has stunning views and is so very quiet. The pool is lovely, well kept and clean, with Mr Turtle living in a little area to the side of the garden. The only noise we could hear during the day was from donkeys and goats!

The inside of the villa is just as stunning as the outside, with a modern feel to a traditional Greek stone house. The kitchen has everything you need, modern bathrooms and a TV with loads of films to choose from. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom have stunning views.

John and Mado catered to our every need. From providing a lovely Greek meal for lunch upon arrival to toys/highchair/travel cot etc for our baby, they did everything they could to make our stay wonderful.

John provided us with details on what there is to do on the island and where to go. From recommendations of local beaches to restaurants in the capital, he knows it all. There is a book (written by John and Mado) with the basics in.

Mado sorted car hire for us for while we were on the island. The car was well maintained and clean which was delivered shortly after we arrived (the drop of was at the gates of the airport so really handy).

Over the course of the week (which felt far too short), Mado and John ensured that we had everything that we wanted and more. I won't spoil your visit by telling you everything they do that's above and beyond as they are nice little touches.

In short, the villa is stunning, quiet and well looked after. John and Mado look after their guests very well and if they say that they have something such as baby toys then they really mean it (as our little boy found out).

You must stay here to understand how good it was.

We have just returned from our 2 week wedding in Kefalonia, we stayed in villa Mandola, the villa far surpassed our expectations with one of the best scenic views I've seen on this beautiful Island.
The villa itself is situated in a lovely little village with local restaurants and bars, John & Mado have decorated the villa very tastefully still offering the rustic charms of the Ionian Islands with a lovely contemporary twist. To be honest we found it very difficult to tear ourselves away from the pool and our stunning surroundings!
John & Mado where in deed exceptional hosts and made us feel very welcome immediately, with hospitality we have never experienced before a truly exceptional family!
As we were getting married we had many friends and family visit us whilst at the villa -everyone was more than a little envious on seeing our gorgeous little villa and everyone who visited us has said they will definitely stay at Villa Mandola if they return to Kefalonia, as will we- an absolute little Gem!
