Beautifully designed flat renovated by a leading architect. 140 square meters (1507 ft2), 3 balconies. Next to Puerta del Sol, and very close to Santa Ana Square. Walking distance to Madrid's main architectural attractions: Plaza Mayor, Sol, Royal Palace or the Chueca district, as well as the main Museums: Prado, Reina Sofia, Caixa and Thyssen.
This flat is ideal for either the business traveler or the tourist. The tube (metro) is on the doorstep: Sol, Gran Vía and Callao tube stations are within walking distance, as well as several bus stops nearby.
The flat is located on Cadiz Street, with several bars, restaurants and old tapas bars, which are a favorite with most visitors, as well as the locals. The building has lifts.
The flat is fully furnished. Two double bedrooms, with queen size beds ( and a Crib) and 2 unsuite bathrooms, 1 of which with Jacuzzi. 2 double Sofa beds in the sitting room, TV, amazing open plan kitchen, fully furnished with all mod cons: air conditioning, dishwasher and heating.
The apartment is just in the center of Madrid, walking distance to all touristic places to visit.

What enticed me to this place was 1) location 2) size and 3) location. We were traveling, my wife and I, to bring our daughter to Madrid for her semester abroad. The apartment was very comfortable for the three of us. It is so centrally located that almost everything you want to see and do is within walking distance. (albeit the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is a good 3 miles) The things that are a bit far, well the metro is less than 5 minutes away in Sol. Note of caution, cab drivers, for some reason, have no clue of where this place is. If you say you are going to Sol, they drop you off in the plaza and you have to make your way up the hill and to the apartment carrying or pushing your luggage. It is better to tell them you want to go to Calle Carretas and Calle di Cadiz, at least this gets you closest to the apartment. As far as the apartment goes, Ramon met us when we arrived and then we did not see (or need to see) him again. When I had trouble with the high-tech appliances, he called the neighbor across the hall and we worked all the kinks out in 30 minutes or so. He has decorated the apartment in the most interesting manner, he has a book with all of the pertinent information you could want about the apartment and Madrid, and the WiFi worked just fine as well as the TV. My only complaint (being an old f@rt) was that the bed in the master bedroom is quite low. We enjoyed the place so much that we re-booked for the short time we returned to Madrid prior to leaving for the states.
Fantastic location in the middle of everything. Quiet apartment. Great for one family, or two couples. I would definetly stay here again. Close to the metro.
Three couples shared this beautiful apartment which is within walking distance of everything a tourist wants to see. It has a well stocked kitchen- even an emersion blender, plenty of linens, air conditioning, and the washer and dryer were used every day. The couple who slept on the futon said it was comfortable and the half bath gave us all our own space. Ramone has a helpful book listing restaurants. (The little place just downstairs has good food, but don't miss the Argentina steak house.) I highly recommend this apartment.
My wife and two kids (10 & 9) had a fantastic stay at Ramon's apartment. The location cannot be beaten. Despite being above a thriving, lively street, the apartment is as quiet as you like or vibrant as you'd have it - open or close the windows looking down on the street for your desired result.
Ramon met us at the apartment, was very generous and helpful and we had no problems whatsoever.
Wifi was easy, lot's of Madrid books, maps and tour guides waiting for you and a clean and luxurious space to call home.
You won't be disappointed.
This apartment is spacious and true to the photos. The kitchen is well equipped, even for longer stays (2 refrigerators!) Somehow, it is quiet at night, even though the street below is full of life.
The Puerta del Sol is a block away with a large Corte Ingles store that has a gourmet supermarket; from there, take a walk down Calle Mayor to the Plaza Mayor for tapas.
Drawbacks: it's not great for the elderly since there are steps up and down throughout the apartment rooms.
Also, lighting is a bit dim (eg, one bedroom has only one ceiling lightbulb, since the other 8 or 9 are not functioning (switches have been disabled). Wondered why???
All in all - a great place with a great owner; Ramon is very concerned for your needs, and has left many valuable guides and maps in the apartment for tourist pursuits. Thanks Ramon!
My cousin and I were traveling mainly to two cities in Spain, the last being Madrid. I found the property on this website. To say the least, the apartment was phenomenally beautiful and well appointed! It was clean, phenomenally maintained, Ramon provided excellent instructions and, gave a list of a whole bunch of different restaurants and things to do, along with maps, and was extremely helpful! We did a tour of the city, went to the Prado museum, and, a side trip to Toledo. The apartment is in the center of everything and, there are hundreds of cafés both on the street of the apartment, and, within 10 blocks! Of course, during August, it is very hot but, the apartment is fully air-conditioned and extremely comfortable! It has every amenity that you could possibly imagine and, when I go back to Madrid, I will definitely stay there as it is so centrally located and, just a few short blocks from the museum, the train station, and virtually everything! I have nothing but extreme praise for Ramon as he made sure that our stay was fantastic, and treated us as family! The one thing that we ultimately found out for ourselves, is that, since both the apartment and the building are very ecologically minded, the lights in the hall and the button for the exit were the only things that we were not told, but we figured it out quickly. When you leave at night, before pushing the button for the elevator, and right on the opposite wall, is the light button, and, when you exit the building, the exit button is to the left of the front door and, right next to it, is the light button for the hallway. Otherwise, I can tell you that this is a beautiful apartment, the air-conditioning works extremely well, and there are three doors going onto balconies in the living room with wooden doors to close them at night if someone is sleeping in the living room on one of the two pullout couches.
Without any reservation, I recommend this beautiful apartment and, Ramon's attention to detail and to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! It is truly worth every penny to have such a wonderful stay, much better than a five-star hotel!
