About this property

Lake Whatcom Waterfront Executive Home (5,150sqft!!), Kayaks and Dock, WifiHDTV

This is one of the finest properties on Lake Whatcom. Located on 2.5 secluded acres, this home offers stunning views up the length of Lake Whatcom. With 240 feet of waterfront and a sturdy year-round dock, this is a home for the water enthusiast. South Lake Whatcom is much quieter and less congested than the North side of the lake. There is no road between this property and the lake, yet there are hundreds of acres of hiking trails just across the street. Built in 1979, this gorgeous, 5,150 square foot home offers plenty of space yet retains the comfortable feel of a cozy cabin. This home is just minutes from the Skagit Valley Casino, Raceway, and Wildwood Resort. Bellingham is 20 minutes away and Mt. Baker (great skiing, snowboarding and hiking) 55 minutes away. There are three bedrooms on the upper floor (3 pillow-top kings) as well as an additional 'library' space with a crib. On the main level, there is an additional bedroom with one twin and one full-sized bed. The lower level has two sets of bunk beds (twin top/full bottom). The lower level also has a ping-pong table, dart board and large HDTV. ThreeZeroThree-ThreeThreeZero-EightSevenThreeEight, or larsharrisonATyahooDOTCOM. Thank you, Lars Harrison

Family gathering for son's local wedding
The one word I would use to describe our week stay in this beautiful home is wonderful. We rented this house for the week leading up to my son's wedding which was in Sedro-Woolley. We live in Massachusetts so we could not bring much with us. The house had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was so well stocked. We had multiple friends and other family come over to visit during the week to enjoy the lake and just float around on the multiple floating devices at the house. We used the 2 kayaks and the paddle boards. There was 12 of us staying ages 23 years-66 years. Plenty of space to spread out. The only thing I would recommend is bring your own beach towels. The bride and groom who live locally loved the house so much that they came over and stayed with us too. The absolute best part was the beautiful view of the lake. Lars our host was always available for questions. Would love to stay again in the future! We stayed July 17-24th 2023.

Great Family Vacation Home!
This is the second time that we have stayed here. The home remains a relaxing place to vacation with a large family group. The available water sports equipment makes it great fun for older kids in the summer. We’ve already booked next year’s week

Great place for a weekend getaway
We had 11 people in our group for the weekend and had plenty of room for everyone. The rustic feel of the home was great. We spent some time fishing from the dock, without much success but it was still a great way to enjoy company and relax. Would definitely recommend and will keep this place in mind for the future.

Having grown up on a lake in Minnesota, I find nothing more relaxing than hearing the waves lap against the shore of a lake. The reflection of the sky and mountains on Lake Whatcom are truly a sight to see from this home. I enjoy waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and fishing and hope you will have a chance to enjoy such watersports during your visit. I truly want to make your visit an enjoyable one and appreciate all feedback.

What makes this property unique

This very large vacation rental gives you the space to relax. Directly on the water, Lake Whatcom offers numerous recreational activities as well as scenic beauty. The trails behind the house are highly recommended, as are short road trips to Mt. Baker and the North Cascades Pass.
