Relaxing Tuscan cottage, sleeps 2- 8, easy reach sightseeing and activities

It's a magical house. It looks like a house at the beginning of a story, sitting on its own little hill and with a huge protective oak by its side. When we first had it there were chickens, rabbits and doves living in the ground floor, and we camped for years with just basic furniture and relying on fruit from the trees and an ancient vegetable garden, particularly as there was no road at first, and the track we made to the house was undriveable if it rained or as happended one year, when it turned from hot and sunny to a blizzard and 2 feet of snow the next day (Christmas Day!) . The children love it, it's great way to have a real family holiday, and because it's not touristy it's easy to settle into an Italian way of life.

Fresh air beautiful unspoilt view, hot and sunny in summer, snowy and like something out of a Breugel painting in winter...fresh food (farm across the field sells fresh produce) magical events like a field of fireflies, lots of nightingales, close to a town and all the amenities yet away from it all. Unpolluted view, huge skies. Beautiful summer and winter. Easy striking distance of many major cities. Good place to unwind and remember what it's like to do things together.
