This spacious holiday home has a contemporary open plan interior with luxury fixture and fittings. It is located at Newby Bridge, only a 15 min drive to Bowness and 5 mins to lake Windermere. There is ample parking for up to 5 cars, a landscape garden with hot tub. its set amongst open fields with the hills as the perfect backdrop. It has 5 bedrooms, 3 en suite, and 1 bathroom downstairs, also, open plan living area, added to which is a spacious conservatory with a second wall mounted plasma TV which overlooks the spacious garden with fire pit. The open plan lounge and dining area has bi-fold doors which when folded back, open out to a sunny patio, with its feature stone walls and lush planting. It is a perfect retreat for families, or couples, who wish to have that added luxury whilst staying in such a beautiful location. The property has Sky HD, wii console and games, internet access. Dogs welcome if supervised, with seperate dog run. Free entrance to Whitewater Hotel leisure facilities for up to 6 people. Tvs in 3 of the bedrooms. Fell foot park is next door and can be accessed directly from the property accross next doors field.

Newby bridge is an outstandingly beautiful part of the lakes, and the property is located right at the heart of this location, yet only a short stroll away from the Swan Hotel, and the Newby Bridge hotel, which both have good restaurants. The quaint village of Cartmel is only a 15 min drive away, and Back barrow is directly behind us, which offers whitewater canoeing. Bowness and Lake Windermere are only a 15 min drive away, and Fell Foot park, next door and is a national Trust Park on the lake and has picnic areas, playgrounds, and water sports.
I have been letting holiday cottages in the lakes since 2004 and offer luxury holiday accommodation. I am very keen to ensure that all my guests in all my cottages are always very well satisfied and depart the cottages having had a marvelous holiday. I decided quite early on to offer accommodation which allows guests to bring their dogs whilst still enjoying luxurious surrounding, I am a dog owner myself and always found it difficult to find good quality holiday lets that also allow dogs. I am very proud of the fact that I have managed to combine both.

The Haven is a very special property, it took me a full year to renovate and enlarge to add on a large extension and conservatory which now capture the magnificent views, which no matter what time of year it is, always remain spectacular. The house is modern with open plan living, which has proven to be successful when occupied by large groups or large families. I always prefer to meet and greet guests to offer that personal touch and to offer ideas of where to go etc in the surrounding area, as newby bridge has a lot to offer.
as previously mentioned, the views from every window are very special, the walks and the fact that fell foot park is right next door and can be accessed by the field and walk which runs by the river. the garden is great for entertaining and the fire pit at the bottom of the garden is always a hit with guests. there's also a hot tub which is a big hit with guests.
My 50th Birthday weekend gathering, three generations and everyone was happy. That says a lot. Great house with a good flexible space, fab finish and furnishings. Great spot for exploring the lakes, but still private. Great outdoor space and the bonus of the hot tub! it was March but the weather was kind so couldn't miss out, great fun!! Passes for The Swan are a real bonus. Our was a celebration meal in the restaurant was also excellent. Look forward to a return visit, highly recommended. Many thanks Lynn, we all loved it
We were lucky enough to find 2 available nights at the Haven. We arrived Saturday afternoon where Lynn greeted us in the large driveway with plenty of room for a least 4 cars with an electric gate so you felt secure and protected. We were shown around the house and were fully advised where everything was.
We were blown away by how beautiful and modern the house was, the rooms decorated to such a high standard with fantastic views, plus the master bedroom had the extra wow factor, we didnt want to leave.
The house had everything you could possibly need and it was particularly nice to open the bi folding doors in the morning and eat breakfast al fresco.
With lake windermere a short drive away (10 minutes) and The Swan Hotel a short walk away there was lots to do and see

After a thorough and informative tour by Lynn, the owner, my family began to have wonderful week at The Haven. It is a simply delightful property, with beautiful and secure gardens, we had 3 dogs, and plenty of parking. Although on a main road we had no real problems leaving or returning to the property and it was easy to find on our arrival day. I particularly loved the large ensuite with wet room in the main bedroom but all bathrooms and bedrooms were of a generous size. the house is well situated for Ambleside, Windermere and Hawkshead and a pleasant afternoon was spent at Fell Foot Park, just up the road. My one suggestion would be to provide fans in the bedrooms. On warm evenings, having to have windows open, the road noise could be a little disturbing. Overall though, 5 stars!!
I stayed at the Haven with 9 friends for a 30th birthday celebration for a weekend and cannot fault this property. The decor and furnishing were beautiful, and the house was fully equipped with everything you could require. All the bedrooms were beautifully furnished and added touches such as under floor heating, Sky + and Nintendo Wii made this the perfect property for any type of get together.
The passes for the use of the nearly Swan Hotel pool and spa were an added bonus and I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Lake District.
What an amazing house !! We stayed for Xmas week with family,two grandparents, my husband, me and our two daughters, aged 14 & 10, and my brother and his wife and 1yr old son...it was perfect. There is enough space for everyone, the girls loved the conservatory for playing with sylvanian's, watching movies and playingthe wi...it was spacious enough for family wi participation...very funny !! The main living area and kitchen are open plan and it worked so well, whoever was cooking was still part of the group...and could still watch TV !!
The bedrooms were as luxurious as described and as every room,with the exception of the bunk room, had Tv's it was easy to have some alone time and peace and quiet. The house is equipped with everything you need for relaxation, cooking and entertaining. Although quite luxurious and beautifully decorated it also had a very homely feel...we coud easily have stayed another week.
Also the Swan Inn at the Swan Hotel in Newby Bridge is very welcoming and although a little pricier than your average pub the food and service were well worth it. All in all a very enjoyable stay for all the family, many thanks !!
