Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday farmhouse in Goose Rocks Beach - Freedom Farm
Update: We intended to move back to this property this September, but are very much enjoying our time living in the city. We are now looking for someone interested in a full month rental, but would also entertain shorter rental periods. Please reach out to me for rate information, thank you!
This peaceful home comes complete with five acres of land for a quiet vacation. Adjacent to the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust trail system, this house is still just a 5 minute drive, or 15 minute bike ride to the soft sands of Goose Rocks Beach.
The home includes three bedrooms to comfortably sleep 5, with one full bathroom including both tub, and stall shower. Eat-in kitchen includes both stove and dishwasher for your convenience. A washer and dryer are also available for use.
Open concept dining room and living room complete the living space. Flat screen television, and plenty of comfortable seating make this home a cozy place to gather with both family, and friends.
There are few homes in Kennebunkport that survived the fire of 1947. The Freedom Farm did, and twenty years later, its barn survived a second fire. After the second fire, the surviving structure was renovated to include a home. Today, the large living space combines the best of both worlds. Barn board walls are complimented by updated electronics and furnishings. Exposed beams are contrasted with new appliances.
The property includes a large yard with plenty of room for games, along with a provided fire pit, and picnic table. There is also a grill available for use. Please contact me for more information on this ideal vacation spot!

I have been coming to Maine my entire life. I actually started - in diapers - as a weekly renter of Goose Rocks Beach area cottages. After living all over New England, I eventually settled back here in Kennebunkport where I work in marketing for a local company.
Though Goose Rocks Beach - and Kennebunkport - have both gone through changes since I first visited the area nearly thirty years ago - I deeply love our little community and firmly believe the town to be an incredible vacation spot. In fact, I spend most of my own professional vacation time enjoying the beach, restaurants and other attractions right here in town!
Bridget purchased this farmhouse in 2013
Why Bridget chose Goose Rocks Beach
I have lived in my home for over five years, but purchased it from the previous owners in May of 2013. Though I work in the area - and am always just a phone call away - I will spending this coming summer living in Portland. I hope to host future summer rentals, as well, so please let me know if you enjoyed your stay and would like to return!
What makes this farmhouse unique
Kennebunkport is a summer destination, and Goose Rocks Beach is even busier! I fell in love with this area before it boomed at the level it is now, and believe it is still possible to balance the amenities of this summer hotspot, with a quiet, peaceful getaway from your regular day-to-day. I am so happy that my home offers this balance.
One aspect of this home that my friends constantly remark on is the lack of light pollution. On a clear night, every single star in the sky is visible!
