Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Regents Park - Regent's Park Apartment
1(or 2) bedroom sleeps 2 (possibly 4), walking distance to London's west end

This charming flat is located in one of London's premier addresses, within a Nash house located on the outer circle of Regents Park. The apartment occupies the basement of a family home and has been made available through the younger generation having now gone their separate ways.

The apartment comprises: one very large room with a king sized double bed and a sitting area, with sofa and chair, TV, DVD, stereo and wireless facilities; a very small well equipped, kitchenette with microwave, small oven, 2 hot plates, refrigerator, and all basic cooking utensils (but not a kitchen fit for gourmet cooks); a modern bathroom with a full sized bath, separate shower, wash hand basin and toilet; an attractive, stone paved, hallway; small outside terrace.

Access to the apartment is at ground level through the family front entrance, but with a private stone staircase leading down into what is a dedicated and private floor.

A second double beroom can be made available for additional cost

Possble extra bedroom: While the normal rentals include just the 1 bedroom, there is a second adjacent double bedroom in the basement area that could under special circumstances be made available for an extra rental. This room will not be used by anyone else while the basement is let out. It has another double bed but furniture and cupboard space is limited since this is used to store family stuff. Patio doors lead out onto a second small basement garden area with fountain.

Kitchenette: This is really only suitable for light duty cooking. Although it has all basic facilities and equipment, it would be unsuitable for anyone with ambitions to prepare gourmet meals. Most equipment is provided but anything not there can be supplied by the owners.

Beautiful, very large, comforable apartment

My husband & I stayed 6 nights in this beautiful apartment. The photos on the website don't do it justice! We were pleasantly surprised at the great size of this apartment which was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. It was wonderful to have such a comfortable space in which to relax after a day of walking around London. The small kitchen was more than ample for the few times we cooked dinner and is was nice to have a large bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. Regents Park is situated just 1 or 2 minutes from the front door and the walk each morning through the park to Great Portland Street & Baker Street stations was gorgeous. We took a different path each day and thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully maintained and manicured gardens.
The owners were very pleasant to deal with and replied very promptly to all emails we sent. They were also very helpful with local information and suggestions when we arrived.
We would recommend this apartment to anyone who prefers to be away from the crowds and prefers something bigger than a small hotel room. We will definitely stay there again when we return to London.

Perfectly placed pad with lovely hosts

We hugely enjoyed our stay in Regent's Park. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful in every aspect and the house is incredibly well located: with Regent's Park on the doorstep; Camden Town and the West End a walk away, and very good transport links close by. The flat itself is very comfortable and spacious. The whole house done in traditional English style. Highly recommended. Thankyou!

Great experience

Review Submitted: 06 January 2012 Date of Stay: September 2011
I stayed here in September with my partner and the weather was lovely so we enjoyed being next to the beautiful park and the Rose Garden. The house was really beautiful and the apartment was lovely - clean, comfortable and quiet. Plus a nice walk-in shower. The owner, Jim, was friendly and helped with directions. It was a great base for our London trip, right in the centre of the city. Hassle-free and happy experience.
Owner's Response: Thanks Michelle; it is always gratifying to receive a good review so thank you. Being so close to the centre of London is certianly likely to be an advantage over the coming year with all the festivities around the Queen's Jubilee year and the Olympics. Sp we hope to see you again soon and that you will be able to make use of the apartment.

A spacious London apartment in a great location!

Review Submitted: 05 January 2012 Date of Stay: September 2011
I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful space back in September 2011 as I was in town for a wedding. Having traveled the world over, I did not desire staying at a small hotel room, which cities like London and New York can be notorious for. Having found this apartment, it was just perfect for my stay in London.

The apartment was exactly as the pictures show. Very spacious, clean and quite comfortable. The bathroom was quite large for a European bathroom and included a walk in shower and a tub. I did not utilize the small kitchen area but it seemed adequate to cook small meals. What was also important to me was that the apartment and neighborhood was serene and quiet. No city or traffic noise can be heard which is another rarity in any major urban city.

Which brings me to mention the location of this place. A literal 2 minute walk directly into Regent's Park. Besides being located in London Central, which made it easy to travel to any destination in London, having the Park so close was wonderful.

Lastly, the owners were great to deal with, very responsive and always prompt in replying to my questions prior to my arrival. An overall great experience and a charming apartment for my London visit. I would highly recommend this place if you will be visiting London!

Loved this flat.

As a New Yorker, when travelling, I want to be close to the sights but not overrun by tourists—and in a charming neighborhood that makes me feel like I'm somewhere special. This was that place. Located opposite Regent's Park, one of the most beautiful parks in London, this flat was everything the owners described: Everything was clean and well-maintained. I had no complaints.

And it's close to gardens, cafes and the canal, but also steps away from bustling Camden, which was like the Village, and downtown, where I saw a musical, visited the Tate and rode the London eye.

Charmed all around.
