With its breathtaking rugged coastal scenery and seven miles of golden sandy beaches it is easy to see why Newquay, the surfer’s paradise, has traditionally been the most popular holiday destination in Cornwall. And its all on the doorstep !! Whether you enjoy surfing, walking, great views, pretty seaside towns, speciality shops, local history or relaxing on the beach Newquay will impress.

The food revolution in Cornwall has clearly helped. Rick Stein’s presence in Padstow re-invented the town and now Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant is doing the same for Newquay. Lewinnick Lodge on the Pentire Headland and The Lusty Glaze restaurant also offer great British food. Try the Windswept Cafe too.

There are many family attractions including Trenance Leisure Park, Newquay Zoo, Waterworld, Gnomeworld, the Blue Reef Aquarium, Tintagel Castle and the Eden Project. Alternatively you could pamper yourself with beauty treatments at the 5 star Fistral Spa - only 100 yards from the Apartment

Golf: If golf is your thing then you won't be disappointed !! The Apartment overlooks Newquay Golf Club. It is one of the best golf courses on the North Cornwall coast where you can enjoy a round of golf and take in the magnificent views across the dramatic Atlantic coast and out to sea. You can also enjoy a round at Treloy Golf Club, situated just outside of Newquay, St Newlyn East Golf Course, again just outside Newquay or Merlin situated between Newquay and Padstow. In total there are 35 golf courses for you to choose from in Cornwall with at least 7 of them being within an easy driving distance of Newquay.

Family of 4 just returned after a week at Ocean 1. This apartment is top quality and the location is excellent. I have previousy stayed in Newquay and I must say Pentire beats it hands down. The views are excellent and it's great being able to watch the surfers on Fistral Beach. Newquay is a pleasant 15 minute stroll away.
This is a great base to explore Cornwall and whilst there we took the opportunity to visit Padstow, Lands End and Perran Porth which are all worth a visit. The owner of this property was very helpful and suggested some good local restaurants. My own tip would be The Braefell which is a steak pub on the road out to Perranporth (A3075). It has two steaks for £15 between 5 ad 7.30pm but gets very busy.
All in all this is a great place for a good beach holiday, the kids would have spent all day in the sea (boogie boarding). There is also a very good golf course close by.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Fantastic holiday you should definately stay here!

When we arrived we loved the quality of the accomodation, furniture and fixtures, which are quite clearly all of a very high standard. The apartment was also absolutely immaculately clean.

We then ventured out on to the balcony and promptly lost all sense of time as we spent hours just watching the world go. What a fantastic view looking out over Fistral Beach and over the headland beyond!

I would absolutely recommend this as an excellent place to stay with the luxurious accomodation adding to the enjoyment of the holiday.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Fantasic Family Holiday in Modern Appartment

I would highly recommend Surf View apartment for anyone wanting to enjoy the spoils of Newquay in cosy and comfortable surroundings. Everything in it is new and very clean, the pictures on the website give you a real feel for the place, but when you get there it's like another world. My 7 year old daughter was totally blown away and thinks the "place rocks" and is "awesome" - you have Hannah Montana to blame for that. Oh, and the view over Fistral beach is magnificent.

We stayed for 4 days from 11 April and travelled around a bit to see Watergate Bay and Padstow. I wasn't a great fan of Padstow - my wife loved it - vive la difference! On our last day we walked the 100 yards (yes it really is 100 yds) from the apartment to Fistral Beach to bodyboard. We had a great swell and a brilliant (but tiring) time.

On our last night we booked a table at Lewinnick Lodge, Pentire Rd, Newquay. It's just at the top of the road where the apartment is and well worth a visit. We had a fantastic view and watched the sun set while eating our meal - the staff there were very attentive and our girls were well catered for.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
