This spacious and newly renovated 76 square meter ( 818 sq.ft) 2-bedroom apartment is located at Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis in the 10th arrondissement, on the 6th floor of a 19th century building with elevator, security code, & intercom. The apartment is bright and sun filled, with a view on the sky and Paris rooftops.
The apartment is in the heart of Paris a few steps away from le Marais, rue Montorgueil and Canal Saint Martin with easy access to all parts of the City. There are two Vélib stations (low cost City bike rental) on the block. Both Gare du Nord (Eurostar to London, Thalys to Bruxelles and Amsterdam, RER B to airport Charles de Gaulle) and Gare de l’Est (East-European TGV to Reims, Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Frankfurt) are at a walking distance (7 to 10 mn). Subway : Strasbourg Saint-Denis; Gare de l’Est - Lines : 4; 5; 7; 8; 9.
The street is a picturesque and colorful market street with many food stores to buy croissants, bread, meat, fish, and vegetable.

Our apartment, rue du Faubourg Saint Denis, is a sunny apartment located in a very fashionable district. There are many trendy cafés and bistrots, a lot of restaurants and many shops where you will buy fresh vegetable, cheese, wine, bread, croissants and anything you want to taste !
There is an elevator up to the 6th floor where the apartment is located. It is quiet and sunny. The kitchen is fully equipped.
A very well kept flat that met both the listing description and expectations and a very good value for Paris.
The owners proved to be very conscientious and welcoming.
For those needing a true two bedroom property in a good location this should be a top candidate.
I recently returned from a 1-week stay at Etienne and Beatrice's lovely apartment over New Year's, and the unit served our needs perfectly. The apartment is spacious, with 2 full bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms and entry hallway. It's also on the top floor of the building, affording it plenty of natural light and nice rooftop views from the balconies. Unlike another poster, I found the futon bed in the 2nd bedroom extremely comfortable and had absolutely no problems getting a good night's sleep.
The location in the 10th arrondissement was very convenient, being 1 short block's walk to the nearest metro station on line 4, and about a 10-15 minute walk from either Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est train stations. And with the metro, we were no more than 10-15 minutes to anywhere in central Paris (i.e. near Ile de la Cite). On the same street, there are tons of boulangeries/patisseries (bakeries), boucheries (butchers), epiceries (specialty grocery stores) and wine shops. It's also a more ethnic neighborhood (which I enjoyed), with tons of interesting and varied cafe and bistro choices nearby as well. With great French, Indian, Turkish, Kurdish, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Italian, etc. options, there's no loss of choices right out the doorstep.
Renting an apartment for us was a much better option than a hotel. It gave us the freedom to cook some meals at home, wash clothes, and generally get a more authentic feel staying in Paris a la a local. The owners are very easy to work with and were prompt, friendly and helpful before, during and after our visit. Merci beaucoup Etienne and Beatrice for a great stay in your apartment!
Just returned from staying at this lovely apartment. My mother and I stayed there for over two weeks and found the apartment to be very spacious and pleasant.
The apartment features 2 large bedrooms with plenty of closet space. Nice little touches, like artwork and a fireplace, make the rooms better than your average apartment rental. However, one of the reasons that the apartment only gets 4 stars is that the beds were not the most comfortable to sleep on. My mom and I are more accustomed to a softer mattress, so it was a little hard to get used to the beds at first. Note as well that one of the beds is technically a futon.
There is also a very large living room, with two couches, bright lighting and a decorative fireplace. I particularly enjoyed being able to open the large windows in the living room and peer over the balcony railing to watch the daily happenings of the 10th arr. below. The living room and the bedrooms look directly out to the street, which is very lively both day and night (sometimes a bit too lively if you need to get sleep, but the windows are pretty sound resistant). With the windows closed, the apt is quiet.
Other things of note: The apartment has two toilets, one of which is a small one in the hall near the kitchen and the other is larger, very well lit and has a reasonably spacious shower. No complaints here! Also, the kitchen is really big! It basically has everything you need -- microwave, large refrigerator/freezer, stove, cook top, dishwasher and more. This kitchen would be great for long-term renters.
As for the location, the apartment a short block away from the Chateau d'Eau stop, which may not the greatest location for first-time visitors but suited our needs very well. The metro line 4, which runs through Chateau d'Eau and will bring you directly to everything from les Puces de St. Ouen, to St. Germain des Pres, to the Gare Montparnasse. Additionally, the apartment is just a few short blocks from the Strasbourg St. Denis metro, where you can catch lines 8 and 9. As far as the neighborhood is concerned, the 10th arr. is a bustling, diverse neighborhood. From the "Little India" of Passage Brady to trendy bars to quality fromageries and fruit stalls, rue du Faubourg St. Denis has a lot to offer. Plus, since you're pretty far from the tourist action, you really start to get a feel for what daily Parisian life is really like.

This bright and sunny apartment is well appointed with everything needed to make your stay comfortable. The neighborhood is vibrant and interesting with shops available within steps to provide fresh produce, cheeses, coffee, pastries, pharmacy, grocery store, take-out food and good cafe/restaurants. The metro is only one block away, so all of Paris is only moments away.
The apartment owners are easy to work with, friendly, speak English and make the rental process very easy. We were made to feel right at home. We would not hesitate to stay in their apartment on our next visit. If you are looking for an easy, convenient and comfortable place to stay for your visit to the city of light. Don't hesitate to check out this little piece of paradise. WE LOVED IT!
My wife and I, along with a friend, spent a week in Paris this past September and had a fabulous stay. The apartment is, as described, in a colourful neighbourhood offering considerable variety in dining opportunities. Some might find it a bit "rough around the edges", but that's part of the charm. Location is great, within a short walk of the Gare du Nord if you're coming on the Eurostar from London, close by a Metro station, grocery story, internet cafe (Etienne's laptop unfortunately was no functioning, but he tells me he's repaired it), most anything you need. We walked to Mont Martre, the Louvre, the Grand Opera, and took the metro to further destinations like the Eiffel Tower. Access from Charles de Gaulle airport is easy as well, one train to Gare du Nord then the short walk.
The apartment itself is very comfortable, again with everything you'll need. Lots of room, comfortable (if small by North American standards) beds, and very quiet with the windows shut. The street below is typically busy as you'd expect. The elevator is very small, so we walked the six flights most days, but not a problem.

What a place to stay in Paris. There were tree of us that stayed in Béatrices and Etiennes fabulous appartement. The location is very good weather you want to travel by metro or by bus, just around corner you'll find station for both vehicles. Appartement itself was just as good as we thought, two huge bedrooms, a large living room and long corridor with lovely kitchen and a room with washing machine and a dryer and two separate toilets. Appartement is very well equipped,it was fun to cook in such a lovely kitchen. We don't have enough words to praise this appartement, but we know that we´'ll be staying there again.
The apartment is on the sixth floor with an elevator. It is in the heart of Paris a few steps away from le Marais with easy access to all parts of the City.
Both Gare du Nord and de l’Est are at a walking distance (7 to 10 mn).
Subway stations: Strasbourg Saint-Denis; Gare de l’Est ; Château d’Eau
Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis is a picturesque and colourful market street with many food stores to buy croissants, bread, meat, fish, and vegetables.
