Our house is warm and welcoming in winter as well summer months, and Re is attractive in different ways throughout the year. Autumn in La Flotte can be warm enough for the beach, or frosty, but it is often sunny. Spring comes early, with frequent blue skies and mild sunshine. The winter can be windy and bracing, exhilarating by the sea but sheltered on forest paths or in the villages. La Flotte is delightfully quiet out of season, but most of the restaurants open on different nights, so there is usually a choice and always a warm welcome.
