A double bedroom luxury apartment in central London in period mansion block

This is a double bedroom, Ground Floor apartment, furnished to a luxurious standard with Flat Screen TV and full Beddings for either a short weekend-Break, a week-long stay or on an ongoing monthly basis.

The Property benefits include: Dark Wooden floors throughout, a large double bedroom, Bathroom with power shower and a separate toilet. The flat is fitted with most modern amenities including a Washer/Dryer. Newly fitted Kitchen with Gas Central heating. The Apartment is based in one of the first modern Built apartment blocks with in-door plumbing in London in the late 1890’s by Lady Coutts’ (The Queen of England's Banker) for the Spice merchants/Dock Workers unloading spices at West Indian Quay.

It is about 5 minutes walk to the historic Whitechapel market. It is less than a minute walk to the local Cinema and Shopping Centre on Whitechapel Road and the legendary Bricklane, famous for its unique “Curry Houses”, chic and trendy pubs, bars and restaurants is a short stroll away.

Hi Babs, we had a great time and the flat was just lovely - great location, well presented etc. Only comment is that people un familiar with London or from abroad might appreciate a bar of soap and a couple of tea bags on arrival just while they get used to the surrounding area and shops but we were fine as we'd brought both and knew the area. Nice little apartmant - great location

Great little and cosy apartment with a good and helpfull landlord. The apartment is located in central London close to 2 tube stations, so it is very easy to get around.
The apartment could use some more furniture.

Great flat at great price

The flat is just as shown on pictures - it consists of two rooms and a small kitchen on the ground floor of a house, with windows towards the yard. It's clean, warm and nice. The location is just 3-4 minutes walk to the tube station of Stepney Green, alternatively there are buses to the center as well. I stayed here for 10 days and I liked almost everything. Just make sure that you leave the place in order.

The apartment is Bril! We were so thankful to Babs for his help when booking and his flexibility. Great that we had a personal welcome and a contact number should we have required help during our stay. We loved being able to walk to everything we needed and have tube station so near for getting around London. A most peaceful, affordable and yet convenient location.

This apartment was very comfortable, clean and convenient to tube and local supermarket. The owner has thought of quite a few small extras which were appreciated, local maps, coffee, sugar and manuals. We were pleasantly surprised and thought this apartment very good value for the quality of accommodation compared to others we were looking at.

Great first experience

My husband and I were taking our first trip back to London since our move back home to the US. We were eager to find better accommodations than the standard hotel or traveler hostel due to the length of our trip and our familiarity with the city. At the same time, since we were very familiar with the City - as we had lived in London for 5 years - we wanted a comfortable experience, not the typical tourist trap or expensive, run of the mill hotel chains.

I did a lot of research – visited many websites and considered many of our favorite locations before coming across this apartment. It is one my favorite locations in London. The location is quite central to major attractions, close to several transport options and has several shops/restaurants just around the corner. I contacted Babs who responded promptly, indicated availability and explained the process for booking. Babs was professional, polite and responsive.This was the first time we rented a private apartment and we were a bit anxious as to what to expect – however, Babs made everything easy. He offers his guests a wealth of helpful information – about the apartment itself and about general tourism in London, restaurant recommendations, travel tips, the works. When we arrived at the apartment, everything was just as Babs had described.

The apartment itself was ideal. It was great to have a full kitchen at our disposal – we were able to walk to the local supermarkets and purchase food and drink to prepare ourselves according to our time table. My husband and I were truly happy with our choice here. Overall, I give Babs and his apartment the highest marks. We absolutely plan to stay at this apartment again when we return. The biggest problem we have is that we've been spoiled now and recommend this apartment without hesitation.

Couldn’t have asked for more

My husband and I stayed at this apartment after travelling around most of Europe over the last 2 months. The whole process from booking to actual check in was a simple, I will definitely do this again. The apartment was as described and I couldn’t fault the price. Close to the tube station, which was convenient for getting around. The area had pubs, convenience stores and a Nando’s! So we could odds and ends on our way home, at any time. Thank You we had a brilliant stay.

The Ground Floor Apartment is centrally located in London and within walking distance of the Legendary Bricklane - curry house capital of London. Apartment is 10 minutes by tube to Oxford Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus. Tourist attractions such as London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey are merely 12 minutes away by Tube. The lovely Greenspace of Stepney is opposite the apartment block.

From Heathrow Airport: Take Heathrow Express to Paddington National Rail Station. Walk to Lancastergate Underground Station (just by Hyde Park - takes 3-5 minute walk) and take the central line (red line) eastbound and change at Mile End Station for the District/Hammersmith Line Westbound(Green or Pink Line) and get off at Stepney Green Station (one stop). Alternatively, take the Underground Service from Heathrow (Picadilly (Blue) Line) and Change at Earls Court Underground Station for the District (Green) Line and get off at Stepney Green Station. From Gatwick Airport Take the Gatwick Express Rail Train to London Victoria (Takes about 30 minutes). Change at London Victoria to the Underground Station and get on the District Line (Green Line) EastBound and It should take about 15 - 20 minutes ( about 12 Station Stops) to get to Stepney Green Station. The apartment is a 3 minute walk from the underground station.
