Beachfront villa in Latsi Ideal for romantic couples and families

Wow , what can I say! You don’t have to travel to the Caribbean for your own piece of paradise. We have just returned from our second year at Latsi Beach Bungalows. We loved it so much our friends rented the next bungalow and fell in love with the area too.

The bungalow is one of around 14 spread out along the very peaceful beach even in August. Open the glass doors and step out onto a tiled terrace with a shaded wooden awning with table and chairs.

The garden is really an extension of the beach with lots of palm trees. They are not yet fully grown but provide enough shade from the hot sun. At the bottom of the garden is a nice raised decking where you can sunbathe or sit and watch the world pass slowly by.

Between the end of the garden and the sea is a lovely path which takes you to Latsi (15 min walk) in one direction and Polis (30 min) in the other. That is in the August heat. You don’t need to hire a car to get about.

The garden is great for nature watching. There were a few little lizards but one bigger one who was there last year so it felt like he was our own pet. There were shrieks of delight and lots of picture taking when we saw a chameleon. Last year we did see a turtle on the beach but we were not lucky enough this year.

This bungalow is exceptionally well maintained and has all the kitchen equipment you need for a self catering holiday.

The lounge area has a comfy sofa and chair, not that we spent any time inside at all except to watch a little bit of the Olympics on the television. There is a good selection of books, magazines etc. There is also a needle and thread kit. Nice personal touches. There is also a dining table and chairs in the bungalow.

Leaning on the breakfast bar in the kitchen area and looking beyond the lounge into the garden is an amazing view. It’s quite breathtaking.

The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are really comfortable. There is plenty storage space with lots of coat hangers.

The main entrance to the bungalow has a parking space for a car and a nice little garden area. The whole area is delightful.

Considering Latsi has a lovely marina all the surrounding restaurants are very reasonably priced. Polis has lots of character and charm with a bustling little square in the evening. Here too, all the restaurants are well priced with many offering set menus.

We are already planning a third visit.

This has to be one of the best family holidays we have ever had. Latchi is quiet and very relaxing and the bungalow style villa was perfectly located right on the beach. The weather was just right and the lady who looked after the Villa was superb.
We took the opportunity to take our young family for a break in the third week in April when Cyprus is just coming to life. The Villa is modern and well equipped. The kitchen, which had excellent appliances, had everything we needed to be fully self sufficient which made this break very good value.
Breakfast on the patio, overlooking the beautiful beach, was everything we had ever dreamed of and the kids thoroughly enjoyed our long lazy days, swimming and walking to the beautiful fishing harbour at Latchi. For a family holiday away from the stresses and strains of everyday life this Villa in the beautiful surroundings of Latchi will be hard to beat. We are already planning our return!

My family stayed in this villa for two weeks this April 2012. The villa is in a great location right on the beach, but within walking distance to Latsi shops etc... The villa is basic but perfectly functionary; it does need some attention in little areas. We complained about the fridge freezer sounding like a motorbike it was so loud,it actually woke me up with ear plugs in! and one was apparently ordered, although we never saw it. The netting for mosiqutoes had significant gaps in it, this wasn't much of a problem for us but could be at a different time of year. The lighting in both bedrooms is blindingly bright, so would suggest bedside lights be fitted. The shower head was broken and was fixed immediately, but there were quiet a few little things that needed to be done. The hooks for the towels were all broken, the loo seat was very wobbly. None of this took away from the charm of the place, but it is a villa that just needs some time and a small amount of money spent on it. There was plenty good clean bedding and a washing machine that worked. although a basic cycle did take nearly two hours. The garden was a mess when we arrived, loads of weeds everywhere and all sorts of stones in random places. As a family we enjoyed clearing it up, i suspect others might not be so keen. The beach is half pebbles and half sand, both proved very entertaining. The sea is absolutely beautiful, clear and clean. We would suggest George's boat hire over Latsi watersports as it appears to have been significantly cheaper. There are two play parks within walking distance and Latsi had other entertainments for kids, a huge pirate ship and a nice marina to walk around. I would definitely recommend the area and the apartment, but would suggest you check they really did get a new fridge before booking!
