A detached private villa ,with child friendly pool and orchard views.

This detached villa is in a prime location on a private plot of only two villas & just a two minute walk from the main road in Kalathos,with all the amenities. The panoramic views from the two balconies are of the mountains and beach of charaki. The villa is tastefully furnished and has all you need for outdoor living with plenty of sunbeds and a family size BBQ with a pergola,table and chairs surrounded by flowers. The upstairs has one double room and one twin bedded room both with balconies, across from the bedrooms there is a bathroom with a double shower. Downstairs leading from the lounge/kitchen is another twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom/shower room making this ideal for guests/friends. There are French doors from this bedroom overlooking the pool.The lounge/kitchen is looking out onto a grassed area and an orchard. All rooms are fully air conditioned.The kitchen is well equipped and looks onto the BBQ and the 7m x4m private pool, which is suitable for children.Cot available.This is a very private villa.

About Victoria Smith

The villa was bought for the family,but by renting we can share ,what was our dream.

My husband and myself were married in Lindos in 2002, and Lindos was our first holiday together,we fell in love with it and have been lucky enough to have a home there.

We try to go out there 3 times a year. My two sons and my husband also spent some time working out there.

I am a professional caterer and we all live in Swansea,South Wales.

Why Victoria Smith chose Kalathos

The property was a new build in 2008,and it was very exciting to watch it being built.

We saw the land before the property,was built and although it is not in Lindos, Kalathos is a fabulous village with everything you might need,it is on the bus route for all over the island,so if you don't want to drive it is not necessary.

The beach is only a brief walk,and the bars in the village are so friendly and the food very good.A large supermarket is only a 2 min drive away.

It is also near to a five star hotel,so if you fancy some entertainment they allow you to go in and join them.

It is only a 5 min drive to Lindos,which is spectacular.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is very private,being only two villas on the site.It is only a brief walk to the main road,but there is no noise.

It is ideal for a family,and very safe.

It is hard to take an overall photo of the property as it has 3 dimensions,but i am sure you would not be disappointed with your stay if you booked the villa,it has something for every one,and very child friendly.

The evenings are particularly good, to sit on the balcony and take in the stars,and just have peace and quiet.

One of my best birthdays,in July was spent there,where the family did a bar b q, and we all just chilled out in the garden and had the most wonderful time(with no prospect of rain).

My 82 year old dad has been there and loves it,he is going again this year.So from the young to the old it is suitable for everyone.

We have customers returning year after year,and no one is disappointed.

I can also arrange car hire for your stay,and they will also pick up at the airport,a local company with great deals.

Kalathos is a quiet village on the east coast of Rhodes, it has stunning sea views and has all the amenities you would require all year around, it is on the main bus route so a car is not a necessity. The famous village of Lindos is only a 10 minute drive away with the ancient acropolis overlooking it and the cobbled streets full of tavernas, shops and restaurants. There are a variety of beaches on the coast some with watersports. Rhodes town is 40k from Kalathos and easily accessible by bus or an organised trip by coach or boat.The old and new towns should not be missed, there is also a water park near to Rhodes town. Another point of interest is Prassonisi where the two seas meet, the Aegean and the Med.

Lovely villa, very well equipped

I stayed at the villa for a week in October with my husband, toddler and baby. The villa had everything we needed including lots of pots and pans, a cot and a washing machine (vital!).

The pool was lovely and really clean. Though it was too deep for our toddler to stand up in she swam with us holding her and it felt very safe as the pool had barriers on 3 sides of it so she wasn't going to just fall in when running about.

We hired a car (plus baby seats) which did help for us to make the most of the holiday, visiting more beaches, Lindos, Rhodes Town and for stocking up at the supermarket. Everywhere is very close though and you could probably make do with the bus and taxis.

The local beach is pebbles not sand, which is lovely for swimming but if you want a sandy beach you have to travel a bit - we went to the beach at Agathi which is fantastic and about 10mins drive.

The weather was perfect for us, still really nice and warm but nothing like the heat of summer. Also the touristy things weren't as busy which was good.

FANTASTIC VILLA, LOVELY LOCATION

My family and I stayed in Villa Andreas for a week in July, and had a wonderful time! 

The villa has everything you could possibly wish for, to make your holiday amazing!
The weather was very very hot, most days above 40 degress celsius! So the pool is very much needed, and lovely! Everything in the villa was clean and tidy , and decorated to a high standard. The air con was a god send!!!! We felt very much at home! 

The area of Kalathos is lovely, although its fairly quiet, which for us was perfect! There are a few bars and local shops, including a bakery which was amazing, all only a 5 min stroll from the villa. The beach is about a 15 min walk, which was lovely, where there is a beach bar that is good value and very pretty! 

One of the local bars, called Castellos was AMAZING! The food was excellent and very good value! And the owners were lovely and very accomodating, helping with any enquiries you may have, and organising taxis etc....

Lindos (9 euros by taxi, 1,50 euros by bus) is a must see! Its a beautiful greek village overlooking st pauls bay, with excellent veiws of the Accropolis! There is a huge range of little shops including a fish spa which was weird but wonderful ( 10 euros for 15 mins )! I would highly recommend Mythos, a lovely italian restuarant, with excellent food ( especially the pizzas) all for a really good price, and a lovely roof terrace overlooking Lindos!

Everything was just lovely! I would highly recommend Villa Andreas, and will deffinately be returning!

Thank you for making our trip to Rhodes one to remember!

Wonderful time in Villa Andreas

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time in villa Andreas. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped. We felt at home from the first moment. On one side of the house you have neighbours, but the garden and swimming pool are so private that it doesn't matter at all.

We were also enthusiastic about Rodes. I'm a Greek but never visited this island before. With a rent car of Vasilia (owner of Castellos bar) we drove around the island and had a very good time.

We will recommend villa Andreas to everybody who likes to have a comfortable, relaxed holiday with the possibility to explore if you like.

Great family holiday at Villa Andreas

We have just returned from a wonderful two week stay at Villa Andreas.
The property far exceeded our expectations and was a fantastic base for a holiday on Rhodes. We have two young children, aged five and a half and four and we were joined for the first week by another couple. The fully kitted out villa was more than comfortable for the 6 of us and with plenty of room for the children to play freely and for the adults to relax around the pool and in the garden. Both our children swam every day in the immaculate pool that was the ideal size to be enjoyed safely all day long.
Rhodes in August is very hot - Mid 30's and higher every day - we had been concerned this might prove difficult with our young children. Villa Andreas however has shaded areas at all times of the day and a great air conditioning system indoors, neither of our children complained of the heat once, and we have come back bronzed but not burned to a decidedly cooler Surrey...
The Villa is secluded and private but thanks to the great relationships and reputation the owner has in the village we immediately felt at home - the pool, grounds and house are regularly and attentively maintained by Jamie, who along with Fedon and Vasilia in the local bar and car rental company and Anna who cleaned the villa immaculately half way through our stay made sure we were well and truly looked after during the holiday.
We enjoyed the local beach at Charaki with its charming fishing village feel and we loved pottering around Lindos - both within 10 minutes drive of the property. There are many many great bars and restaurants suiting both families and those looking for more excitement in Lindos, Kalathos and of course further afield towards Rhodes.
We would not hesitate to recommend Villa Andreas to anyone looking for a holiday on Rhodes.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The villagers are marvelous and cannot do enough to help guests enjoy their stay,also my guys at the villa are very helpful.
