Country house meticulously renovated to offer a superb standard of accommodation

The house is an elegant grade II listed country manor standing in over 3 acres of private gardens incorporating a full size tennis court. The river Nar borders the estate. The house has recently been lavishly renovated and offers a luxurious venue for large groups of up to 14. ( For weekends only an air bed is available giving a maximum of 16 occupants.). The oldest part of the house dates from the Queen Anne period. It has been recently renovated and boasts a host of 'mod cons'.

Two of the reception rooms offer an ideal space for adults to relax, while the entertainment room is designed for family orientated tv or video activities with its state of the art cinema system. The Grange benefits from a private tennis court and archery alley. This, combined with the well stocked games room, means there is an abundance of fun activities. The large kitchen is laid out for guests to get together in a communal manner, while the formal dining room forms the perfect backdrop for that celebratory meals in an atmosphere of comfortable opulence.

The Grange is the ideal venue for both friends and families. We have child friendly facilities, including cots, high chairs and even stair gates. So that you can have that special time for yourself, we can arrange babysitting for you. It is also possible to arrange high quality catering to come to cook for you in the lovely dining room. You can even arrange some pampering with a spa day at The Grange.

Spectacular property!

Fantastic house and brilliant grounds. The 15 of us had a superb weekend, and still can't believe how spectacular the house was.

Extremely easy communicating with the owner and manager, and perfectly clean. We particularly enjoyed the comfort of the projector screen room, the tennis court and the games room, as well as the sunny brunch on the outside patio.

We would love to return in the future for another weekend! Can't recommend this property highly enough.

Rather jaw-dropping Residence!

Lovely place to stay and the Kitchen is simply superb - pretty much anything and everything you could need is in there.

We seldom moved out of the Kitchen or adjoining TV Room but had to have canapes and fizzy in the Drawing Room one night to say we had done it.

The Teenagers loved the Games Room and the adults loved the Kitchen - what more could you ask for.

A wonderful weekend retreat!

Our third visit to The Grange was just as brilliant as our first two! It's such a family friendly house, and with children in our party ranging from babies to teenagers, it really does cater for everyone. We all had a fantastic time and are already planning our next trip!

Great place for our staff retreat

This was a perfect place for a small group to get together for a two day staff retreat. We had plenty of space to work, including lots of comfy lounges, and there is a huge kitchen so everyone could cook and talk together. Dawn, the housekeeper, was very welcoming and efficient and the house was spotless.

Fantastic venue

We had a lovely weekend, as a large family we enjoyed the setting for a murder mystery dinner party! the dinning room was all set up ready when we arrived, and the bedrooms were ALL amazing. The surround sound and projector meant it was like going to the cinema!! you need to take some good DVDs to appreciate it! The boys took their Xbox and so enjoyed playing fifa on the huge screen!! So much space all around and despite the cold weather we still managed to venture outside for a walk!! would recommend, and maybe one day return!!

Beautiful, Amazing, magical...... Just Perfect!!!!

We stayed at The Grange for a Hen Weekend and we couldnt be any more pleased with the house. It was immaculate, welcoming, clean and spacious!!!!
It comfortably housed 15 of us and was within an affordable budget.
It was close to the Knights Hill Spa and restaurants in Kings Lynn.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for the wow factor and a place to escape city life.
There was also great communication from the owner before and after our stay which helped make the booking process very simple.

The seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham boast Blue Flag award beaches and array of traditional seaside activities. Heacham (16 miles) is home to Norfolk Lavender. Sandringham Estate - the Queens country residence, with its Jacobean-style house, museum, superb gardens and park are open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence. To the south lies Ely Cathedral standing proudly in the small city of Ely. Ely has an excellent Saturday market and a good variety of gift shops, as well as a pretty water front and boat hire. The historic city of Cambridge is easily accessible while the medieval town of Kings Lynn (4 miles), complete with handsome waterfront offers an array of good shops, inns, restaurants, theatre, cinema, bowling alley and a sports centre. It also offers regular train services to London (90 min) and has all the shopping you’re likely to require with all the major supermarkets located in the town.

Notes:
There are two reception rooms (The Yelllow Reception Room and The Library). The kitchen diner is huge measuring 15m in length with a large central island making cooking a communal affair. The kitchen is stocked with an american style fridge freezer, numerous cooking utensils, two microwaves, two electric ovens and a 5 ring electric halogen hob. For rainy days there is a games room with billiards, table tennis and table football plus a entertainment room which has state of the art surround sound and cinema projection for the full film experience (Only to be operated by responsible persons) . The three master suites are very large in size and contain a sofa, plenty of wardrobe space and have large en-suite washing facilities with baths and separate showers. The four further bedrooms are at least double size rooms with their own en-suite toilets and showers. Bedrooms 5 and 6 share a bathroom. Standard check in 3 - 5pm standard check-out 4pm for weekends. Babysitting service available.
