About Wawona Lodge
We moved to Arizona over 15 years ago and found a way to beat the desert heat by staying at Wawona Lodge. We found this property upon our Polar Express adventure. We enjoy the outdoors and find that vacationing in Williams allows us spend more time outside.
Wawona Lodge purchased this cabin in 2012
Why Wawona Lodge chose Williams
We enjoy the small city of Williams and it's quaint atmosphere. It accommodates all types of visitors; sightseers, shoppers, or those just needing a time to relax and refresh.
What makes this cabin unique
Wawona Lodge is in the heart of the Kaibab National Forest at 7,200 ft. The cabin was built on 7+ private acres without a neighboring property in sight. All other cabins in the community serve as primary residences. Although tucked away in the pines, guests are still within 5 minutes from downtown Williams for groceries, shopping, and local dining.
Snowfall averages at about 66'' per year and fresh air is always abundant.
Brisk morning walks on quiet dirt roads or a warm cup of coffee on the wrap-around deck are great ways to start the morning. You might even catch sight of elk and deer at daybreak or dusk. In the evening, sit under the bright stars and roast a marshmallow or two. If you listen closely, you'll hear the elk call each other in the summer and fall months.
Guestbook comments from the owner
I just wanted to let you know firstly that your home is beautiful and perfect for our purpose. Our family has not all been together in 10 years and it was wonderful to have them all there with no distractions. Close to the Grand Canyon. It meant the world to me that we had a home like environment to visit in instead of your average hotel room, so that my children, son's in law, their father and my granddaughter could spend family time together. Thank you so very much.
