Situated in the heart of the Carre D’Or (“Golden Square”) of Cannes, this luxury 2 bedroom, second floor apartment with lift is ideally located. The apartment building lies between the Croisette and its beaches, and Rue d’Antibes, the main shopping street, on the other. With these two central points of Cannes on either side, the Palais des Festivals is also as close as five minutes by foot.

This 54sq m elegant apartment is fitted to a high standard, with fully fitted kitchen for self-catering including dishwasher. The apartment can sleep up to four people very comfortably, and is particularly quiet, located at the back of the building overlooking two courtyards. The apartment has air conditioning and central heating through out, with wall-mounted digital TV and broadband, washing machine and dryer. This lovely apartment (Residence Grosso 8, 9 Rue Mace, 06400 Cannes) is equally ideal for conferences and vacation.

Fantastic break in Cannes

Stephen, many thanks again for allowing us to stay at your beautiful apartment. No doubt you've heard it from other guests too but the quality of the accommodation is excellent, the location is superb and dealing with you was a pleasure. It was also very helpful to have been met at the airport and to have had Ann to greet us. Cannes is a fantastic city to experience and it has something for everyone. The proximity to the Croisette, the shps on Rue d'antibe, the festival hall, glorious beaches and Cannes train station means that every day is a new opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the world. Thanks again Stephen and we look forward to visting Cannes again and staying at your apartment in the future.

What a location

When the description says that this is a centrally located apartment within easy access of some of the highlights of Cannes (think strolling down the Croisette like a true flaneur, sunbathing on the beach, shopping on the Rue d'Antibes); it's not wrong.

Mercifully this meant we didn't have to feel guilty about waking up late (easy to do with shutters closed and aircon keeping you cool in the summer), as there was no journey time to factor in when we visited the beach - which we did most days of our stay. Supermarket, boulangerie and a more traditional marché were within 5 mins walk, as was the train station. The old town was a pleasant 15 min stroll, although it gets more taxing as you begin to climb the winding streets!

Thankfully central didn't mean noisy, though - apart from the occasional riot of laughter from the nearby schoolyard. The apartment itself is well appointed with clean, modern decor that slightly belies the art deco style of the block - hence the high, high ceilings. Personally I would welcome some more quirky details (the black and white photos are a bit textbook) but that would be really nitpicking! The rain shower was perfect at the end of the day on the beach and the cooking facilities are just what they need to be given the proliferation of excellent restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity. In one week we sampled traditional cuisine, sushi, pizza, crepes, fusion.

All in all a great base to explore Cannes itself and the surrounding area - if you have a car then take advantage of it and visit St Paul de Vence, Mougins, Antibes and so on.

I would certainly come back.

Great location, great service

Dear Stephen,

I just wanted to send you a brief note from NYC that I enjoyed the use of your apartment during MIDEM. It really had an ideal location for the purpose of my MIDEM trip - close to the hotels where my meetings take place and also close to Rue D'Antibes for shopping etc.

When MIDEM was over, I head West to Provence. I drove out and spent several days exploring Nimes.

Again, I want to thank you for the use of your apartment. Anne was a terrific care house keeper and took care of all my needs.
