Le Dragon Vert is set amongst woods and fields in the lovely Vallee du Seye. It is reached via a drive, set away from the road and is in an elevated position with glorious views acros the valley. The house has a private pool (8m x 4m, depth 1m to 2.5m), together with a brick-built barbecue, within its large, secluded garden.
The pool has an alarm and is fenced, in accordance with French law. There is a large table and chairs in a shaded patio area of the garden, perfect for outside dining. The farmhouse has three bedrooms, sleeping six people in total. The master bedroom is tastefully furnished with white French country-style furniture and has views across the garden and valley. This has a double bed and a single bed, with wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second bedroom is full of light and is equally beautifully furnished with a double bed, sofa/divan/day bed (which can be a double or single bed also), a large chest of drawers and a floor to ceiling height window with doors and Juliette balcony. The sunny, large kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, etc, plus another large dining table and six chairs. French doors lead to the garden. The house is one hour from Toulouse Airport or Rodez Airport. Nearest facilities are in Verfeil, a five-minute drive away. Stunning St Antonin-Noble Val is a fifteen-minute drive away - not to be missed.
St Antonin-Noble-Val: This stunning Medieval town is considered to be one of the most picture-perfect towns in France, with its winding streets, shady squares and many cafes and restaurants. The backdrop to this lovely town is the towering Roc d'Anglars, part of the spectacular Gorge. The Gorge stretches for miles and presents perfect opportunities for exploring by foot, bicycle or on horseback. The River Aveyron is the centrepiece for the area and St Antonin is an excellent base for canoeing along the River's tranquil course through the Gorge and picturesque wooded valleys. This whole area of the Tarn-et-Garonne is known for its stunning woodland areas and totally unspoilt bastide towns and villages - a retreat from the modern world and the perfect place to unwind.
Villefranche-de-Rouergue: Villefranche is another stunning 13th century bastide town, 20 miles from the property, easily reached by car. It is a lively town, with many cafes, restaurants and designer gift and clothes shops. The town has two charming main streets, with a spectacular main square - Place Notre Dame - which is known as the loveliest bastide central square in the region. The old bridge and riverfront are delightful, with hotels and cafes situated alongside, affording beautiful views and excellent dining!
Albi: Albi is simply 'to die for'! It is a wonderful Medieval town, with its architectural heritage totally preserved. The old bridge, dating from 1035, is still in use today. Albi - besides being a beautiful place to visit - is the home of the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum and holds the largest public collection in the world devoted to Toulouse-Lautrec.

We liked the gite very much - it is very pretty and lovely on a hot day. The interior of the house is very pretty, as is the exterior. Loved the pool area. Overall, a fantastic relaxing stay and we would very much like to return.
