Set in one of the most beautiful locations of the Alkionides gulf (part of the larger Corinthian gulf), Alepochori is a typical Attic village, set in thick pine woods, with sheltered coves which are ideal for swimming and watersports. The peaceful village has all the expected amenities including supermarkets, cafés and tavernas specializing in fish dishes; it is in an ideal location for visiting the archaeological sites of ancient Greece and is off the main international tourist tracks.
The area is pristine and picturesque and is an ideal choice for swimming, fishing and other water sports. Cycling along the coast and hiking on the neighboring hills and mountains are also an easy option.
You can also charter a boat at the small port or at the beach in Psata and tour around the gulf. Swimming is of course the main activity and I find it most pleasing in the evening when at sunset when the sea turns red. Then go to a bar for an apertif and have some ouzo! We like walking along the beautiful seaside and going to dinner in neighboring countries like Pachi or Perama.
The property is easy to reach by motorway from Venizelos airport or Pireus harbor (approximately an hour's drive) it is conveniently located to reach all the continental tourist attractions in the Peloponnese. A bus service is also available linking it to the centre of Athens.
