Tala village is within walking distance of the house offering bars, tavernas, cafes delicatessen, bakery and supermarket. Tala is a peaceful upmarket residential area ideal for families but with all amenities close by. Tala is a 10 drive from Paphos centre and 10 minutes to Coral Bay with its 2 large sandy beaches with loungers and parasols available for hire. Coral Bay is a hive of activity with a fully lined street of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops etc. Also within a few minutes drive of Coral Bay are the spectacular Sea Caves and the tiny fishing harbour of Agios Georgios. From Tala you have easy access to Polis & the fishing village of Latchi where there is a marina and great fish restaurants. For golfers you are within a short drive from no less than 3 World Class golf courses( further information in the golf section). Round the corner is Tala Monastery, nestled in the pine covered mountains where there is a cafe and a souvenir shop. Remember to book early for cheaper flights

Ski: Yes, you can even ski in Cyprus! The season is very short - just a few weeks between December and March. The weather is usually bright and sunny and many local residents wear little more than light clothes and sandals! There are six different ski runs on four different slopes all of Alpine standard and varying in length from 100-500m. Sun Valley 1 for beginners, Sun Valley 2 for more proficient skiers and North Face 1 & 2 for the more experienced. Although the Troodos ski resort can never compete with the European ones it is nevertheless popular as it is friendly & welcomes skiers of all levels of experience. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed as skiers can comfortably walk around with old skis and clothes - no designer trendsetters here! You can hire everything you need, skis, snowboards and toboggans. You can be ski-ing in the morning and sunbathing in the afternoon!
