Great opportunity to rent this superb, duplex apartment in one of the most sought after buildings and location in the Port of Alcudia. Just 50 meters from Alcudia's beautiful safe sandy beach and marina. Constructed in 2001 and located on the third and fourth floor ( 2 lifts)of the building the upper floor offers a fully fitted kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, lounge/dinning area with double glazed doors leading to the balcony from where one can relax and enjoy views of the Mediterranean. Interior stairs gain access to the lower floor. There is a large sitting area, bathroom and two bedrooms. 1 double bed and 1 twin room both with access to a balcony. Reverse cycle air-conditioning units and its excellent location, set in the very heart of the Port d'Alcudia, makes this apartment available to rent throughout the year. All amenities needed to ensure that you have a great holiday are right on your doorstep. Alcudia boasts the biggest/longest sandiest beach on the island

GOLF: Golf

Alcanada golf course is situated just a short distance from the apartment. Alcanada combines the essential requirements for the creation of a top category golf course, an unrivalled setting and a first rate design. The terrain gently slopes down towards the shoreline, with its pine, olive and oak trees and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background. Alcanada is the only course in Mallorca that is right by the sea and has a spectacular view across the bay of Alcudia. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. and Jnr, the beautiful Alcanada golf course, opened in October 2003. Typical Trent Jones features, like 58 well placed green side fairway bunkers, challenging greens with hidden breaks, and difficult but fair tee shots, already make this golf course a must for all experienced golfers travelling to Mallorca.

Distances: Distances

Old historic walled town of Alcudia with amenities is less than a mile away. Alcudia water park is approx 3/4 of a mile away. Pollensa town with its winding streets, ancient churches and famous 365 steps leading up to one of the many churches also Puig de Maria with years of history can be reached by car/bus, then on foot to the monastery and with breathtaking views approx 20 mins drive/ bus ride away. Can Picafort with its pavement cafes and competition go-carting track approx 15 mins away.

Walking / Trekking: Walking/Trekking the north of Mallorca with its vast mountain range is prime walking country. Why not visit Mallorca in Autumn and Spring when the weather is cooler, and ideal for both walking and cycling? Why not walk or cycle around the S'Albufera Nature Park (Alcudia), it is the largest and most important wetland area in the Balearic's? The area is a former lagoon separated from the sea by a belt of dunes, which has converted into an extensive flood plain. The Natural Park which stretches across some 1708 hectares of marsh and dune land is a protected conservation region. The area is an internationally protected area for wild birds, and is home to considerable wildlife.

Both beaches offer sunbeds and shade for hire, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from along the beach front. Local shops, restaurants, chemists, banks, supermarkets, post office all can be found within the port area 100mts to access the bus service. Less than a mile away there is a heated indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis, paddle courts Alcudia water park is approx a mile away.

Local activities include bicycle hire, diving, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding, roller blading, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, wind-surfing. One of the biggest/fastest go-carting tracks can be found in C'an Picafort.

Brilliant Apartment

We had a brilliant time staying at the Gabriela apartment. The apartment has everything you could possibly need. Deborah was very helpful on our arrival and showed us all the facilities in the apartment. The apartment is very spacious and was exceptionally clean. We stayed in this part of Alcudia last summer and enjoyed it so much that we returned again this year. Deborah was very helpful and accommodating on both occasions. We are a family of four, with two older teenage children and the apartment was very suitable. Although we did not cook anything as we ate out, the kitchen was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. There is an excellent utility room which was fantastic for washing as clothes dried very quickly - didn't have any washing when we came back! We went for a meal at the La Mirador de la Victoria which was a short taxi ride away and the restaurant was outstanding with breathtaking views - would thoroughly recommend the stuffed tomatoes as starters and the suckling pig for mains. There are many good restaurants within a short walking distance of the apartment. Would steer clear of the busy part of Alcudia which is a good 40 minutes walk along the beach. Restaurants were not up to the standard of the local ones. Particulary one called 'Come dine with me' - avoid it! The restaurants on the front by the harbour are of good quality - prices around the same as a good English restaurant. Mains costing around 12-18 euros. All serving excellent paellas. There's an excellent cocktail bar at the end of the marina - fantastic views and large chill out seats. Cocktails were around 5 euros. All in all, an excellent holiday.

A trip to remember

My wife and I and our two young children had a lovely stay in Majorca based in the north of the island in Alcudia during the Easter school break. The beach is a stone's throw away with a new small playground for the kids to play on (not shown in the pictures on the website). The Casa restaurant in the same street served great traditional Spanish food and is well worth a try (we went there twice). There is no shortage of places to eat out (even during April) and there are also lots of small shops to buy buckets and spades etc as well as amusements to keep the kids entertained.

We also enjoyed trips to other nearby costal towns such as Portocristo on the East coast, Polença just 10 minutes away. Old-town Alcudia has a nice Market twice a week which is well worth the visit to stock up on your fresh fruit and vegetables and of course you have to see Palma itself for the spectacular Cathedral and designer shopping.

If you have a hire car, or if you are keen cyclist and are incredibly fit (we saw hundreds of people who were!) it's also worth having a drive up into the hills and around to Soller (where you can catch old trams which originally came from San Francisco) , Deja and Valldemossa!

The apartment itself is well set out with heating/AC, TV, DVD, cooking facilities, washing m/c which is practical for keeping small kids in clean clothes.

We did hire a car for our duration and had no problem parking it in the free public car park at the top of the street. We managed to find a WiFi / Internet cafe nearby.

The only downside from our trip was finding out the night before we were due to return home about the Volcanic Ash cloud. However Debra and Ian were incredibly helpful and let us stay in the apartment for another four days before we managed to get another flight home. I wouldn't have wanted to be stranded anywere else and we were lucky enough to explore a few more hidden gems in Majorca!

Great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed in this apartment with our 9 month old for a week in May and were very pleased! We arrived late at night so the representative left the keys at a nearby location and came by the next morning to make sure everything was okay and answered our questions about the area. The apartment was lovely and in a fabulous location! There were several restaurants and shops located within a one or two minute walk so it was easy to get anything we needed. The beach was only a 30 second walk and the marina where sightseeing and other tourist boats departed was less than 5 minutes walk. The apartment was equipped well, clean and very comfortable despite a bit of noise as a result of being in a fairly busy area. We would definitely recommend it for your vacation in Alcudia!

Super apartement

We have been in this great apartment 1 week i july 2009, and it was a perfekt place. The apartement was very nice and it was very clean and we nead nothing - it was perfekt.
The place is super near the beach and many shops, bars and the atmosphere in this part of Alcudia is super. We look forward to book this apartement for summer 2010, and we will do it as soon as we know when we can get holiday:-)
