Warm and friendly welcome with super accommodation

We stayed in a studio in Stavros Villas. The studio had everything we needed - well laid out, well equipped with good enough facilities to be able prepare and cook breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, however, Stavros' own restaurant/taverna just a minute down towards the sea and on the beach also provided delicious and varied food. The Stavros family are very welcoming and helpful and additionally a information pack which is provided in the accommodation is very useful. The accommodation was kept very clean by the maid who comes every other day.
The beach and sea at Stavros were lovely, sandy with beautiful clean water. Some iconic beaches are located quite near too - stunning lagoon types at Gramvoussa and Elafonissi. The property is perfectly located to easily access all parts of western Crete, e.g. the White mountains of Western Crete and the south coast with the incredible Samaria Gorge and to the east Hania town (about half on hour). We walked down the famous gorge and stayed overnight in Agia Romelli (which has no roads in or out) then walked back up the next day, most people walk down then get a combination of boat and bus back to their original location, but although the feet were quite sore afterwards it was really well worth it, rooms can be had in Agia Romelli for just €20. Lovely village. Hania is also a really lovely town and well worth visiting, very resonably priced buses can be caught on the main road.
The local Gerani area was very pleasant with a number of friendly tavernas and bars in walking distance, there's also loads of supermarkets within easy walking distance.
Overall a great place in a great location which cannot be faulted and I will be definately be recommending to friends and family. Two weeks there and could have stayed another two. Thank you again.
Owner's Response: THANK YOU. See you all again soon.
