Local Area - Sightseeing: Albufeira offers something for everyone, whether you enjoy sightseeing, theme parks, water sports, golf or simply relaxing. The new part of Albufeira is on the east side centred on the Arcias de São Joaõ which is known as 'The Strip' within walking distance of Parque da Corcovada and is a thoroughfare filled with cafes, restaurants and bars which stretches down to the Praia de Oura Beach.
The 'Old Town' with its whitewashed houses, narrow cobbled streets steeped in history is also a shoppers paradise for souvenirs of pottery and wonderful linens.
