We are pleased to introduce you to 'Bellport Landing', a gracious 1880's home situated on Main Street in the heart of Bellport Village. Our home has been welcoming families and friends to Bellport Village for twenty years as the former 'Great South Bay Inn'.
We are offering you the same wonderful home to those who are looking to independently host a family reunion, accommodate a wedding party, hold a baby shower, or simply to escape the city and enjoy the many wonderful amenities that Bellport Village has to offer. Rent it for the day, the week, or the month. We are committed to making your stay as comfortable as we possibly can.
'Bellport Landing' offers the beauty and charm that you would expect to find in an antique/historic home. It features wood floors throughout, two wood burning fireplaces, detailed molding and double hung windows. The first floor includes a spacious living room and dining room, kitchen, sunroom and three of the six bedrooms. A split staircase off the living room leads to a hallway connecting the other three bedrooms. Having been an 'Inn', the layout of the home affords guests the opportunity to socialize together in the common/public areas but then retreat to their respective private bedroom/bath area.
There are six bedrooms in all, each with their own unique character and charm! Each of the three 'master' bedrooms feature a king/queen bed, flat screen TV, and en-suite bathroom. One of the masters has a working fireplace, the other has an alcove with a pull-out sofa bed.
The kitchen is clean and efficient and fully equipped for the serious chef! It features a commercial Viking six burner stove with griddle and double ovens below, a Subzero refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.
The dining room is located in the home's center and is a wonderful space to share a meal together or gather around the bar for cocktails and conversation. The round table can be expanded to seat up to 8 people. French doors open off the dining room to allow access to the sunroom for additional seating.
The living room affords plenty of comfortable sitting areas, whether it be to cozy up the the fireplace, watch TV, play a tune on the piano or catch up on your email (of course, WiFi), you'll find a spot to suit your needs. A second set of french doors also allow access to the sunroom.
located off the sunroom is a deck which leads to a large brick patio with a pergola. There is plenty of outdoor seating for enjoying a meal or just catching the great westerly sun.
Please note that, like many other older Bellport homes, ours has a cottage located in the back of the property, which we rent out to our tenant, Steve. Steve quietly comes and goes and we ask that you please be respectful of his space and he will not interfere at all with yours.
Once you've gotten comfortable here at home, it's time to venture out and explore Bellport Village. Leave your car in the driveway because you won't need to travel very far!! In less than a five minute walk, you can choose to eat in any one of Bellport's five restaurants or, better yet, pick up dinner at the local market and a bottle of L.I. wine and cook up a feast. How about taking a stroll down historic Bellport Lane. Bellport Lane is lined with beautiful old homes with white picket fences. The Lane will lead you to the marina and yacht club that directly overlooks the Great South Bay. From this spot, Bellport's private ferry delivers residents and their guests to a gorgeous stretch of clean, uncrowded ocean beach. Yes, this is Fire Island National Seashore! You just got here without getting in a car!
So, what are you waiting for? Please check with us regarding our availability or call us with any questions you may have.
See you Soon!

Sue (that's me) lives 'around the corner' from Belllport Landing with her husband, Steve, and four children. Steve is a local realtor and Sue keeps busy with the kids, 2 dogs and 7 cats (so of course, we welcome four legged friends!!). Sue enjoys vacationing at VRBO properties, yoga, walking around the village and Is a thrift store-aholic! Steve loves boating and is going for his Captain's License so he can take you around our beautiful Great South Bay!!

We first discovered Bellport Village on a dreary winter's day and immediately fell in love with it's friendliness and the quaintness of the downtown. With its New England style of homes, Bellport Village looks more like cape cod than long island!! We also love Bellport's proximity to miles of uncrowded ocean beaches that we enjoy all summer. Bellport Village is a walkers paradise having everything you need within a few mile radius. As our realtor said of Bellport Village, those who choose Bellport are choosing a lifestyle!! We hope to meet you soon!!
Since our home operated as a Bed and Breakfast, friends and family who enjoy socializing in the big living/dining room will love having their own quarters of the house to retire to. We love the location of our house!! Walk across the street and have dinner at a zagat rated restaurant or treat yourself to a massage!! You can walk to the theater or to yoga class. You can walk down to the dock and hear live music!! You can meander in and out of some of our fine art galleries or play a round of golf at the Country Club!! All of this and more are right under your toe tips!!
The Great South Bay and the Atlantic Ocean are at Bellport's back door. The town dock has a boat launch for you to launch (for a fee) whatever recreational toy you own. In the Summertime, the dock at the bay is a lively spot both day and night for boaters, members of the yacht club, dog walkers and children playing on the playground. On the weekends, there are live free concerts at the bandshell. The gateway playhouse offers nyc quality plays throughout the year and the famous haunted house around Halloween. Bellport Village hosts a number of events year round including the 5k Clipper Classic Race, Bellport Day, Artists on the Lane and Memorial Day Parade.
The Hamptons, Northfork wineries and outlet shopping (Tanger Mall) are all just an easy 20 minute drive. Splish Splash, a top rated water park, is also just a 20 minute drive and a must-do for the youngens. The famous Montauk lighthouse is 1.25 hours away (barring no traffic) and it is a spectacular ride!
