2-bed flat a few blocks away from Paseo de Gràcia, Plaça Catalunya and Ramblas.

Our Sweet Home Barcelona apartments are registered as Tourist Apartments HUTB-404 and HUTB-405 with the Direcciò General de Turisme of the goverment of Catalunya, Spain.

This luxury apartment is perfectly located in an upmarket street in the heart of the Eixample district, the Quadrat d'Or (The Golden Square) of central Barcelona a few blocks away from exclusive areas such as Passeig de Gràcia, the Rambla and Plaça Catalunya. The apartment dates from around the year 1900 and have original 'Escofet' tiled floors and period features. We have worked carefully with designers and specialists to retain the original features whilst bringing the apartment into the 21st century by including stylish modern kitchens, bathrooms, comfortable living room with sofas, satellite television, DVD and CD player, dining area with table and chairs and period balcony looking over great period architecture. The whole flat is hot/air conditioning. and within comfortable walking distance of most top popular tourist sites such as Gaudi modernist architecture designer shopping streets and the city 'Barceloneta beach'.

You would be staying right in the heart of Barcelona in a building occupied by Catalan residents. The apartment is in a very safe area in the heart of the Eixample district, the Quadrat d'Or (The Golden Square) of central Barcelona just a few blocks from areas such as Passeig de Gràcia, Rambla de Catalunya and Plaça Catalunya. The entire area surrounding the apartment building is full of beautiful modernist buildings influenced by the modernist architects, chief among whom was Antoni Gaudí. The apartment is peaceful at night and at weekends.

As well as exploring the city itself, you can make day trips to the beautiful Catalan countryside, the city of Girona and the Costa Brava. Portaventura for the kids is only an hour's drive away.

Barcelona offers beautiful parks, stylish shopping; a top-class aquarium, zoo and a funfair at the top of Tibidabo mountain. When it comes to eating out, there is an abundance of great restaurants from simple tapas to Michelin-starred restaurants.

  • HOW TO RESERVE:

    Go to Sweet Home Barcelona web site and click on 'Flat 1B' in on-line booking on the right hand side. This will take you to the reservations page of the flat. Use the arrow to choose your arrival and departure dates. You can either pay in full by credit card or make a deposit to secure your booking. If you choose to pay a deposit, the balance will be paid in cash when you arrive here. A damage deposit of 200 Euro is payable in cash on arrival and refunded in cash on departure.

Our stay in Barcelona was made very comfortable staying at this cozy flat. Located in a central, yet quiet residential area, made exploring a beautiful city easy. The owners were very helpful and pleasant, making our visit extra special. The apartment has all modern conveniences. It was clean and well maintained and to our delight, stocked with some complimentary morning essentials. There are wonderful local resturaunts, and sightseeing, all located within walking distance from the apartment. We would definately consider staying here again. Thanks for the memories. K & D

Beutiful apartment, excellent location

This was the second time we stayed in this apartment and plan to stay there again in the future. The apartment is beutifully decorated and excellently located on a quiet street, yet only ten minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya. Barcelona is a great city to walk around, and the apartment is a perfect base for that. We felt very welcome with fresh flowers on the table and a bottle of cava in the fridge. Isabel and Mike were most charming and helpful, and checked every now and then that we were comfortable. We are happy to recommend this apartment to all fellow travellers! :)

Comfortable and sylish in the heart of barcelona

Communication with Isabel, the owner of the apartment was super and her friendliness and local knowledge immediately put us at ease as soon as we arrived.
The apartment is ideal for 2, very comfortable and in one of the best areas of Barcelona. It's a stone's throw away from the hub of the city and very quite in the evenings.There are lots of bars , cafes, shops and supermarkets all within very easy walking distance and if you have to park a car we found the car park around the corner in Ausias Marc convenient with very helpful staff.
We have stayed in loads of apartments in Barcelona and we would happily return to this one. The information that the owner had compiled for the apartment book was the best we have seen with recommendations and useful maps. British TV is available, useful, if like me you get fed up with all the news on Spanish TV!
The apartment felt like a home from home and I really did have to force myself to leave. What more could you ask for! Thanks

For the past three years we have stayed at Sweet Home Barcelona as part of our Spanish summer holiday. Each stay has been for three weeks or longer. It has become a firm fixture in our annual holiday itinerary. There are various factors which add up to make our stays here so happy: superbly tasteful interior decoration, all the required fixtures, an excellent location and super service from the very kind and friendly Isabel and Mike. The wifi works well, the air-conditioning is most welcome in the summer heat and the view into the communal courtyard is endlessly fascinating. One evening we were entertained by our view of one of the neighbours playing ball with his white pet rabbit. And of course, being in the marvellous city of Barcelona always delights us. We are of the belief that your choice of accommodation goes a long way in determining the quality of your holiday, hence we will keep returning to Sweet Home Barcelona.

Sweet Home Barcelona is our most favourite holiday place. It is a home away from home in every sense. We will be returning there this summer for the third year in a row and will continue doing so for as long as we are able. The location of the apartment is magnificent. It is literally in walking distance of marvellous restaurants, two supermarkets, the bus route to the beach, and of course the magnificent stores that cater to every shopaholic. Not to mention the little cafés and bars that seem to populate every street corner of this cosy little city. The hosts, Isabel and Mike, are kindness and generosity personified. The interior decoration of the apartment is absolutely pleasing in every way and it is beautifully maintained. We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone who likes comfort and convenience.
