Hi Tim,

A hearty thanks from Elaine and myself............ The Blue House proved to be an excellent place to stay. You have done a great job in remodelling the place and I am sure you will enjoy full bookings for many seasons to come.

Best regards,

Owner's Response: Great to get another nice review! Now the winters here its time to think about those wild cliff top walks, great pub lunches and then coming back to tea and the log fire. Wildlife is still vibrant especially the red squirrels hunting for food. There must be more bridleways and seaside walking/cycling per square mile on the island than anywhere else in Britain.

Lovely property especially for our family

  • 5 of 5

A fantastic property even during the time we stayed over Christmas. The property is well laid out and has more space than we could use.... The bedrooms are of a good size and the room with a single bed and bunkbeds was perfect for our 3 kids. We especially liked the large dining room table which meant all occupants could sit comfortably at the table and eat. I am lookign forward to going back in the summer so we can make better use of the secret path down to the beach but we did some lovely rock pooling over the festive season. Also the local cafe will be open which we have eaten at before and is fantastic. Tim was always very helpful and responsive and was very easy to deal.

Thanks

Matt

Owner's Response: Thanks Matt, really appreciate it. We are extending the sitting room area this winter so that the big room becomes even bigger with a large oak and glass gable looking out over the sea and an open fireplace for those cosy winter evenings. We will also be going over the whole house and repainting ready for the 2015 season and beyond. We'd love to have you back in the summer. Thanks again. Tim

Stunning private hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Simply perfect! Lovely beach house type cottage with its own grounds, overlooking the silent. Gorgeous bedrooms. Very private, yet only a few minutes from the beach and 5 minutes drive from Cowes. Gurnard which is 5 minutes walk away is beautiful with its beach, cafe, pub and promenade. Owners very helpful. We would love to return! Lots of special family moments created.

The Blue House 'Ab Fab'

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Blue House. The house is superbly furnished and offers everything you will need and more. The quality of bedding and towels etc is first class. The lounge and 2 of the 4 bedrooms have doors directly onto the decking area, excellent with a morning cup of coffee...

The vast decking and lawn area have views across the Solent to the New Forest and watching sunset with a glass of wine has to be done.

Hopefully we will return to the Blue House and we have already recommended it to friends. Undoubtedly 5 stars.

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a stunning review! Its deeply appreciated. I agree with all you say..but then I would.. we stay there as well so it has to be right. We are doubling the size of the sitting room with a large glass and Oak garden room which will be completed in 2015

Fantastic spot for a relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

Thanks Tim - what a wonderful property in a great location!

The minute we got on the ferry across to the Isle of Wight the stresses and strains of the 'real world' begin to slip away and from there it just kept getting better.

The Blue House is truly a fantastic place to spend some time in complete comfort with everything you could wish for on hand. We were lucky enough to benefit from great weather so being able to fling open the doors to the wonderful garden and spend as much time outside as in was a real bonus.

Having your own pathway down through woods to a secluded beach was fantastic and meant there was no great compulsion to venture further afield though when we did drag ourselves away, bike rides into Cowes and trips out to some of the Island's attractions proved great fun for the family.

Overall, between the property and the general feel of the Isle of Wight, the whole trip was reminiscent of holidays from another age when the days were long and carefree and there was no end of joy to be had from life's simple pleasures!

Can't wait to return!
