perfect location, fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in this cave house. The location is perfect central location to explore this wonderful island. This is an excellent property fully meeting the description. The help and support from the house manager was also excellent. There are many lovely places to visit and eat, difficult to chose from. Sunset cruise was magical.

We will be going back.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect stay in such a beautiful island! The town where this cavern house is located was so peaceful and quiet, away from the tourist buzz of Fira and Oia, yet just a short drive away from them.

Firstly, before leaving for Greece, Sarah was very helpful with any queries we had via email and gave us all the advice we needed for the start of our holiday, which we really appreciated. Sarah also booked us a table at the nearest taverna for our first night which was very convenient as we wanted to stay in the area on that day. The food was so good!

Once we arrived in Santorini, Kimberley picked us up from the ferry port and took us to the beautiful house! It looks exactly like the photos! Kimberley showed us around and explained everything we needed to know. The information book in the house was very helpful in case we forgot anything or wanted any extra information on what to do in Santorini. The house was very clean and the fridge was already stocked with some necessities such as milk and cheese which was really nice!

Kimberley and Sarah provided us with a good, decently priced car hire service and the car was brought to us the next day to sort.

We really enjoyed the pool and lounge area, it was very nice to just chill there late at night too! We had a couple of relaxed days by the pool and those may be the highlights of our trip!!

We also enjoyed having our breakfast in the outdoor area. There is loads of free space in this house for 6 people! It was just 4 of us so we loved the extra space :D

Visiting Santorini was a dream and staying here made the visit perfect! Definitely want to visit Santorini again and would love to stay here again!

Thank you :)

The perfect retreat

  • 5 of 5

Let me start by saying that this is the first holiday that really did what it said on the box. Being met at the airport with our hire car waiting was only the start. Sarah took us to the wonderful cavern house which was spotlessly clean and so well equipped. The fridge was stocked with water, beer, wine, raki, cheese, meat and milk along with fresh fruit, tea, coffee etc. Sarah spent time explaining how to get around the island, where to go and what to see and the guide that is in the cavern was also very informative and helpful. Sarah recommended the taverna in the village for our first evening meal and booked us a table. What wonderful food - we ate there 3 times!!!! We also had some amazing seafood at stunning beach locations.

The cavern is set on a hillside with wonderful views from the sun terrace and its so peaceful and relaxing yet within easy reach of the whole island. We would recommend having a car as the roads are easily manageable and very sensible drivers.

Santorini had been on my wish list for many years and can honestly say it was as beautiful as I'd hoped. This is a truly special place to stay and visit.

I must just add that being a cat lover it was lovely to have daily visits from the local cats (especially the two black boys) who are like a double act.

Thank you Sarah and Eddy for making our stay so perfect.

Our new favourite destination!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the property for a week at the end of August for my sister's 30th Birthday. In the lead up to the week, I sent many emails to Sarah asking ideas for birthday surprises and also asking her to decorate the house with 30th balloons, bunting, confetti etc that I would send over. Sarah was always extremely prompt, friendly and accommodating with her responses and the house was decorated as I asked (with the added bonus of a bottle of champers and other goodies!!) when we arrived.

The house was bigger than the photos suggest with plenty of room for 3 couples. Kimberley, the house manager, met us from the airport at 11.30pm and sorted out our car rental. We then followed her and our luggage to the house. She gave us lots of tips on where to go during the week and came and cleaned the pool a number of times. She was also in contact the day before the private catamaran trip I had booked through Sarah to arrange times etc. As our flight home was at midnight, we were able to check out of the villa late (2pm) and Kimberley met us at the airport at 10pm with our bags.

The villa has beautiful views over Kamari, the mountains and the sea and we spent many hours sitting in the pool taking in these views. The pool was a necessity in the hot weather and we always retreated there after a day out sightseeing.

There is lots to do in Santorini and the highlights for us were the open air cinema, fireworks from the Caldera (only happens once a year I believe, in Aug), shopping in Fira, sunset at Santo winery and the private sunset boat cruise from Oia.

The villa is so pretty and is quiet as it is away from the roads. It means a little walking uphill to get to it from the car park but the views on the way are worth it! The island is one of the most beautiful I have visited and we had such an amazing time, our only regret is not booking for two weeks!!

Thanks to Sarah, Eddy, Kimberley and the wonderful island of Santorini for making my sister's 30th an experience we will never forget!

What a fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

We were greeted by Kimberley at the airport who very kindly picked up our luggage and dropped us off to the lovely Perivoli beach stretch as we had arrived early in the morning prior to check out time. We were picked up again to arrive at the lovely Anthea villa which was cleaned spotless. It was very well laid out, with spacious well equipped kitchen, living room and good size bedrooms. The bathrooms were an absolute delight with a big bathtub and a power shower, and hot water supply was never a problem. Again, bathrooms were cleaned spotless.

There were some fine but excellent touches to the whole experience:

1. Interestingly enough, something which we had not encountered before, the fridge was stocked with milk, juice, wine, cheese, fresh fruit etc, just until we could find our way around. Kimberley very kindly gave us a lift to and from the supermarket on the arrival date for us to do some extra shopping.

2. Pick and drop off to and from airport and luggage storage.

3. At the villa, there was a booklet with very useful information making the whole experience much easier and so much more fun. Information included numbers to some fantastic restaurants, pointers for activities such as boat trips, museums, beach bars etc.

4. When it came to renting a car, the girls were extremely efficient at accommodating the request. We had one for 40 euros/day with full comprehensive insurance cover within the hour and on 20 euros of fuel, we have been everywhere on the island.

5. The pool at the top of the hill provided a fantastic chillout area anyone feel like having a lazy day.

So in summary, this was an absolutely fantastic experience, a great holiday and we definitely going back

Thank you.
