The Orange Tree House can be whatever you want it to be, a relaxing private retreat away from the world or a base for hill walking and exploration.

Puntagorda village hosts the almond blossom festival in February when the landscape is transformed by trees covered in pink blossom.

This western corner of the island is green and beautiful and, we think, has the best climate on the island!

Less than an hours drive takes you to the mountain top where there are futuristic silver observatories above the clouds.

For a completely different day out visit Los Llanos town - stylish, lots of shops, fascinating buildings, many street cafes and a big town square with enormous old trees where you can sit and people watch while you enjoy your coffee.

Tazacorte is the nearest seaside resort with a beach, swimming and a variety of restaurants. But, not forgetting the Puntagorda seaside- at 650metres above sea level we are a long way up, but it's possible to drive most of the way to the rocks by the sea and see some amazing local summerhouses built into the cliff face on the way. For exercise enthusiasts, we have an open air swimming pool, less than five minutes walk away, which is open in the summer months.

Local restaurants, and the village centre are within walking distance.
