This most stylish villa will appeal to adults seeking a self catering holiday where relaxing ' at home' is a pleasure.

The luxury kitchen and bathrooms are decorated to the highest standard using only quality materials. Cooking in the granite topped kitchen can be a pleasure! Families will also enjoy the facilities and enjoy walking into Comares village and day trips to the sandy beach, just a 30 minute drive.

Local Village - Comares: Comares village is within a 10 minute walk of the villa; or 5 mins by car. Comares sits high on a hill with views to the Mediterranean some 20 kms distant. Its a pretty ' Pueblo Blanco' with narrow streets winding uphill in two directions from the plaza. Although a little sleepy after the busy coast, it has enough facilities for shopping, eating and drinking. The village shop sells fresh bread, veg, meat and has a good beer & wine section. There is also a chemist, tobaconist, 2 restaurants and several bar/restaurants serving meals and tapas. For emergencies, the 24 hour medical centre is a 20 minute drive.

Shopping & Beach Life: Velez Malaga is the nearest large town and takes approx 30 minutes to drive to. A lively market town, you will find many supermarkets and an air conditioned shopping centre with multi complex cinemar, bowling and restaurants...This is the nearest town for buying fuel also.

Torre del Mar is a popular beach resort with a long sandy beach and Mediterranean promenade. Many beachside cafes are found here, many specialising in fish & seafood. Torre has restaurants to suit all tastes as well as bars and nightlife.

Torre del Mar has plenty of entertainment with cycle hire, horse riding, water park and go karting. Along the coast 2kms is the fishing port and marina of Caleta de Velez. Go for a boat ride or just enjoy lunch at the waters edge.

Touring Andalucia: Villa Peña Blanca is a good inland base from which to explore Andalucia. Malaga city has lots to see including the Picasso museum, castle, cathedral and good shopping. Many great tapas bars too!

Granada & the Alhambra Palace is approx a 90 minute drive and a must see day trip. Book online in advance.

Antequerra and Torcal National Park are nearby too. Nerja, less than an hour by car, has good beaches and famous caves. Seville & Cordoba are a little further on good roads but a worthwhile trip for the more adventurous.

Peña Blanca is situated away from the madding crowds on the coast but conveniently located just a one hour drive from Malaga airport and 30 minutes by car to the sandy beach at Torre Del Mar on the coast. Walking distance from the beautiful village of Comares where all key amenities are found; restaurants, bars, shop, bank etc.

Peña Blanca Villa is a good base from which to explore the key cities and sights of Andalucia. Granada & the Alhambra Palace is a day trip. Antequerra and Torcal National Park are nearer still. Seville & Cordoba are less than 2 hours drive. Visit Nerja & the famous caves - 50 kms. Lake Viñuela, Marbella & Puerto Banus are on the tourist lists. Malaga city has plenty of culture with the Picasso museum, castle and many monuments. Great shopping and restaurants too!

Pena Blanca a real gem.

If you want to get away from the crowded coast and be in a place with spectacular views, a short walk away from a beautiful moorish village and stay in a fantastic villa, then Pena Blanca is for you. The villa is the best we have ever stayed in, our party of 4 adult and 2 teenage boys were very comfortable. We thoroughly enyoyed the generous facilities especially the kitchen. The village of Comares is a joy just a 5 minute walk away. The village shop will cater for most of your needs, try the sausages and parma ham. The local restaurants served fairly basic food but very enjoyable, try the rabbit with garlic in the Mirador.
Overall Pena Blanca is very well maintained, very clean and very well provided for. The description is spot on but managed to exceed our expectations. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to our best friends.
Owner's Response: We have worked hard to provide a holiday villa of above average quality with a level of comfort and facilities that we ourselves like to enjoy when we stay at Peña Blanca. Comares is a special place and the villa occupies a unique location; detached and private but within a short walk of the village and its Andalucian features. We are very pleased that Paul & Sally enjoyed their stay and would welcome them back anytime.

The privacy and unspoilt open location of the villa cannot be captured on the website the views make you sit down and absorb the changing light on the landscapes all around you , the occassional mountain breeze keeps you cool and access to amble shelter from the hot sun supplements this on the still days .The villa is very well equipped ( settees could be more comfortable), each bedroom has a view and access to a terrace .The steps near to the entrance to the villa are easy to climb if you go at a steady pace and its like having a private entrance to friendly and quaint village of Comares .The location of the villa lends itself to a very relaxing break with the ability to access a true feel of spainish life just a 10 minutes walk away . Both of us have no reservations in recommending this villa to our friends and family .

It only took us two years to get back here but it was worth the wait! Pena Blanca was just as it was, nestling in the hill below Comares with stunning views of the hills to the North and the sea to the South. Since last there some minor work has gone on outside making eating with views and shade even easier. We arrived from Malaga airport in just over an hour, and after a quick stop en-route for some basic supplies were by the pool!
We managed a little easy walking in the area, lots of reading and a number of trips up the old Moorish Steps to Comares for lunch and dinner. Lots more to do in the area if we hadn't been so comfortable at the house!
Was even tempted to use the internet but sense prevailed.
Can't wait to get back again. Had a really great time

Deuxième séjour pour nous et toujours le même émerveillement. La vue est tout simplement extraordinaire. Il y a une atmosphère très particulière de calme et de bien être dans cette maison à la fois jolie et confortable. C'est important de vivre une semaine de vacances dans un espace aménagé avec beaucoup de gout sans oublier le jardin et la piscine qui sont aussi des petits bijoux. Pour le reste le WIFI est un plus très agréable et l'accueil du début et de la fin du séjour extrêmement agréable. La villa est bien située pour des ballades et des journées à la plage très accessible. Comme le dit le dicton (français) jamais deux sans trois alors surement à l'année prochaine donc
