Lovely house

We were pleasantly surprised to find our holiday house situated on the Themes. The house has a lovely teras to sit outside overlooking the river. The surroundings were beautiful. The house was clean and well maintained. It was lovely warm in the property when we arrived. The owner is available to give advise. The beds were clean and we slept well. There is not much room for the children to play in the garden but there are parks very close at Windsor and plenty of room for walks along the river.
By train from Windsor it only takes a good half hour to get to London.
It is a quite area and there are many things to do in the area. We visited Lego land which the kids enjoyed enormously.
All by all a lovely holiday and we certainly will come back again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Excellent stay at in Old Windsor

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location only a few minutes outside of Windsor itself. Quite lovely location on the water. Enjoyed watching the boats go by. The house itself lived up to all all expectations (wi-fi was a little slow) .Great launching point for London a places west. We did the harry potter studios, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Maidenhead/Marlow, local pubs. All good!
Owner's Response: Pixie Place is a fantastic location suitable for all members of the family as said by our guest. Many of our previous guests have stayed at Pixie Place not just because of the easy access to so many exciting attractions within in the UK and the immediate/surrounding area but also for the access to the rest of Europe as Heathrow Airport is a 20 minute drive away.
We're so pleased to hear how our luxurious property lived up to all expectations.
We shall investigate the reported slow WIFI speed. This was never reported previously.

Magical home in an idyllic location

The location of Pixie Place is an idyllic location on an island on the river Thames with scenic walks, close proximity to Winsdor and a short journey into London. We loved the spacious airy conservatory where we watched ducks and swans waddling on the riverbank into the beautful garden.
The house was spottlessly clean with a well stocked kithcen with all the facilities we could wish for.
The living room ad dining area was ideal for our extended family gathering. The bedrooms were contemporary and comfortable with modern bathrooms and with excellent showers. The private office space with wifi was a useful facility. Every room was furnished to the highest standard.
Pixie Place certainly casts its' enchanted spell on us and we can't wait to return.

Superb Retreat

Having recently stayed at Pixie Place with my family I feel compelled to write a review about the fantastic time we had!

We booked Pixie Place for a week break whilst our family met up for our annual gathering and we were all exceptionally pleased and happy
with the accommodation and also by its location.

Pixie Place is nothing short of pure luxury and to be honest the details and photographs do not do it justice.
It is large, bright and spacious with breathtaking views from the lounge and conservatory which sits overlooking the river, and I can honestly say that sitting with my family watching the swan's swim past us at the bottom of the garden was the most relaxing time I have had in a long time!

The rooms are all decorated beautifully whilst still remaining homely and cosey. It is pristine and has every amenity that you could possibly want for.

There was plenty for adults and the children to do locally for entertainment, from the beautiful grounds of Windsor castle to Lego Land and plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, the theatre and it is very convenient to travel to central London by train or bus.!

The booking process was extremely simple and my deposit was returned 24 hours after our departure.
I would be happy to recommend this beautiful home from home residence to all my friends.

Families with children particularly enjoy this environment as we have made the house child friendly, the front garden can be closed off by the large ranch gate and a picket fence lines the waters edge...cars are a rarity passing down the lane approaching the house.
We place great emphasis on ensuring all of our guests receive the highest quality in service thus giving us confidence that our guests are staying in the luxurious and immaculate surroundings as promised.
This is a property and location to suit all ages and sizes of family and friends.

An Very Enjoyable Stay

We felt like home the moment we got into the house. It is nicely & cosy decorated and clean. It is well equipped. Though we visited during the snowny week which was one of the coldest Feb in UK for many years, we enjoyed out stay so much just relaxing in the conservatory with the fantastic view right by the Thames. It is close to local amenities, and Windsor where there are loads of shops and restaurants.

We are planning to book and come back again during summer.

We highly recommended Pixie Place.

  • The master bedroom is very spacious, on mezzanine floor, with ensuite bathroom, newly furnished, linens and towels are supplied. Safe fitted. The front bedroom has a double size bed on the first floor. The river side bedroom, on the first floor also, over looks the river has a double size bed and adjacent to it is the family bathroom. All the house has been newly refurbished and refurnished. Although the house is in a very secure area, it has an alarm system and external security lighting.
