Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Monterosso - lo Sceriffo
House, garden, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5-6)
Lo Sceriffo (The Sheriff) is a charming little house ideally located in a private park, with ancient trees and the typical Mediterranean Flora, next to a private pine forest.
The park surrounds the old Villa where the Nobel Prize winner for Literature poet Eugenio Montale used to live and write.
Lo Sceriffo is located in the middle of this park, in its own beautiful garden; it is peaceful and quiet, yet only 100 metres from the sea.
The house has just been renovated; part of the pictures you see were taken before the renovations and as soon as we have the new ones they will be updated.
The house is cozy and nicely decorated and the renovations respected the style and mood of the house, making it more comfortable, with air conditioning and high quality finishing.
There is a living room with a wide window with a view on the garden, a little kitchen with everything you need, two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and two bathrooms, both with shower. One of the bathrooms is en-suite in the main bedroom. The bedrooms have single beds that can be arranged as king beds, so there are different sleeping options.
In the front garden there is a beautiful deck with a sunshade and tables and chairs where you can relax and enjoy the silence and the charme of the place.
In the back garden there's a laundry and storage room.
You can feel out of this world, but the shops and the restaurants are just 200 metres from the house.
It is a poetic and unique place.

Guestbook comments from the owner
This house is in a absolutely gorgeous location-- close to shops and restaurants, but still private and quiet. It is a rare combination in this area that it is both accessible by car and by train. A very good base for exploring the Cinqueterra. The house itself is charming, light, well-equipped, and is comfortable for 6 people. Our only complaint was that we went in mid-March when the weather was cooler and the house was difficult/expensive to heat. However, in nicer weather it would be perfect and a very good value.
Stefano and Barbara Massari live in Rome with their two cats. Stefano is a mental coach and Barbara is an art director. They usually spend their summer holidays at lo Sceriffo, a place they love very much.
The house is set in the park of la Vecchiona, the oldest villa in Monterosso, and the property has belonged to the family for generations.
A lovely property with a beautiful garden, set in a very exclusive position, peaceful yet very close to the sea and the shops and restaurants.
