Self catering, well appointed, sleeps 8, 50 metres from beach

Woodbine Cottage was the subject of an extensive renovation programme that was completed in March 2006. The accommodation is spacious for its eight guests and has the benefit of on-site parking for one vehicle. As Woodbine Cottage is situated within the historic walled town centre, during the months of July and August visitors can experience the pedestrian scheme within Tenby, Pembrokeshire which converts the walled town to a café culture, vehicle free zone in order that the restaurants, coffee shops, public houses and gift shops can be enjoyed safely at a leisurely pace. Woodbine Cottage benefits from two reception rooms with feature fireplaces, a dining room, kitchen and wet room. The kitchen is equipped with all up to date appliances. There are also a laundry room and bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there are three further bedrooms, two with king sized beds and a family bathroom with a roll top bath and Matki shower. Outside is a secluded courtyard area with seating for eight.

Access in July and August: During the months of July and August, dates to be confirmed each year, Tenby operates a car-free zone within the town walls between 11am and 5pm. During this time access is restricted as the streets are utilised by restaurants and bars to create a cafe style atmosphere in the town. A car pass is necessary to be able to drive in and out of Tenby during this restricted period. It is important that you do not lose this pass as it is specific for the property and will need to be given to the next occupants at Woodbine Cottage so that they can enter and leave Tenby. Your co-operation with this is much appreciated.

Practical Matters: Please do not wear stiletto heels as these damage the wooden floors.

Please dispose of all rubbish (location of disposal sites in help file in the property) before you leave and do not leave it outside where the seagulls can destroy the bin bags and spread the rubbish in the street.

Please do not sit on the sofas in wet swim wear.

Please try and rinse off all sand before entering the property. There is an outside tap with hose at the front of the property.

If you use the barbecue, please could you clean it afterwards.

Pets: We will consider allowing guests to bring their pet with them but only between the months of October and April.

Pets are not allowed upstairs nor on the furniture downstairs and must not be left alone in the property.

Woodbine Cottage is within the town walls of Tenby in the picturesque county of Pembrokeshire that is host to a wide variety of attractions to suit all tastes. The property offers a very convenient base to explore both Tenby and Pembrokeshire. Woodbine Cottage is situated 50yards from The Paragon and South Beach. Pembrokeshire is renowned for its Celtic history, picturesque scenery, beaches and many and varied activities as well as for its arts and shops. Beaches include Tenby South, Tenby North, Saundersfoot, Broad Haven, Manorbier, Coppet Hall, Amroth, Newgale, Barafundle, Broad Haven South, West Angle Bay, West Dale, Priory beach at Caldey, Waterwynch, Monkstone, Sandy Haven. Oakwood theme park, Heatherton Park, Folly Farm are all close. Shopping in Narberth is not to be missed. Numerous cliff top walks are near. Many outdoor leisure activities are within close proximity: coasteering, windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, golf, horse-riding, quad biking and cycling.

  • On the first floor are two large bay fronted bedrooms with kingsize double beds and views over to Caldey Island. A further bedroom with two single beds is located upstairs. Woodbine Cottage also benefits from a further bedroom downstairs with a single truckle bed that converts to either two singles or a large double bed (therefore accommodating an additional 8th guest). Please note that when this additional bed is utilised there is only a small amount of space left in the room to move comfortably around. A travel cot is available for a baby. All bed linen is provided except for the travel cot.

Notes: Woodbine Cottage has two reception rooms each benefiting from solid oak flooring with rugs underfoot, a gas fired Victorian fireplace in the main reception room and comfortable settees. The modern fitted kitchen is equipped with Bosch appliances consisting of electric oven and 5 burner gas hob over, dishwasher, microwave oven and fridge. The utility room has a further large fridge freezer and also tumble dryer and washing machine. The dining area is located off one of the large reception rooms and the dining room has a large dining table and seating for eight guests. A high chair is available for a baby. The TV has Freeview digital channels available. WiFi Outside is an enclosed slate tiled courtyard with patio furniture, rotary washing line and outside store which houses a charcoal barbecue and also an ideal area for the secure storage of surfboards etc. Pets are considered between the months of October and April. A lovely stay at Woodbine Cottage

Our first entrance to Woodbine Cottage in Tenby was by surveying a website at home in The Netherlands.
Arriving in Wales was exactly what I, with my 7 other relatives, expected. After all: far away from home you book and sign in for a cottage, somewhere in Tenby. Opening the frontdoor was the start of a warm welcome-home feeling and the beginning of a memorable stay. All machinery inside the house did do the things they were assumed to do. The two bathrooms looked very clean luxury and all bedrooms were clean and good-looking as well. The curtains inside the house are worth closing and opening, you won't forget their weight! Combined with the area, the beach, the lovely and friendly people and nature, it's worth coming back and we are not talking about 'homesick-feelings' yet but we absolutely can imagine that guests who have been in Woodbine Cottage in St Marystreet/Tenby are dealing with that.

Woodbine Cottage is superb accommodation in Tenby. It is decorated and equipped to the highest standard. Located right near the beach and on a quiet street it is close to all amenities with off road parking. We all enjoyed our stay there and had a week of sun so all in all it was an excellent holiday.

Fantastic family holiday destination

Woodbine Cottage is a wonderful base for a family holiday in Tenby. It's superb lacation meant that the car can be forgotten if needed. The description was very accurate , hepled by clear photo's . The decor and fittings are all of a high standard , a lot of TLC have been put into the renovations. The property is well maintained and very clean. The kitchen is better equiped than my own ! We had need to contact the owners during our stay , they were easy to contact ,thanks to the lovely lady at The Mytle Hotel across the road , and a pleasure to deal with. We felt valued and welcome.
The beach is good for children and within easy walking distance. There are lots of activities and attractions nearby. The Blue Lagoon complex is good for a rainy day ,a good tip: pre book if you know it is going to be a bad day. Bosherston pools are excellant for a good walk and there is a lovely beach at the end to reward you for your efforts !
The Hope and Anchor and The Buccaneer pubs are good for good value meals , beware the portions are HUGE , go hungry ! The organic Deli in the town , carn't remember it's name, has the wonderful Welsh cakes they are a must.
I would recommend this property to anyone it is wonderful. My family and i had such a relaxing time here. On the day's it didn't rain , it was nice to go to the beach ,then go back to Woodbine for lunch and back to the beach again, no sandy sandwiches !!!
The only thing that the owners couldn,t arrange was the weather but i got the impresssion they would if they could.

We had an great holiday based at Woodbine Cottage. The property was spacious, clean and very well appointed, would say that this was more of a home from home rather than just holiday accommodation. The location is great and the proximity to the sea made it really easy for us to make the most of the beach, especially useful with two six year olds in tow. We'd certainly consider coming back again. (PS Grandmother gave the property an excellent rating which is praise indeed!!)

Woodbine Cootage, a great place to stay.

The description of the cottage on the site was very inviting and it not only lived up to this but exceeded it. The cottage is just off the front and the sea is visible from two of the bedrooms.

The property was very clean and extremely well appointed with lots of extra little touches, a home away from home.

The owners were very accommodating (pardon the pun) and even left us a box of chocolates as a welcoming gift!

I would have no qualms about recommending this property to anyone.
