Outstanding interior designed historic town house with quality fittings & finish

Situated in the historic quarter of the Old Town of Pollensa, the house is a 5 min walk from the fabulous main square with all its pavement cafe bars, restaurants & shops on your door step. The house has been lovingly reformed by the owners using the best quality materials, all the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. The house enjoys a private good sized terrace with dining table, sunbeds and separate sitting area and a lovely very private swimming pool. The house can sleep 7, on the first floor there is one large master suite with super king size bed and en suite bathroom with a luxury stone bath with shower overhead, two further smaller bedrooms one with a king size double sleigh bed and a twin bedroom with 2 x single beds. Also on the first floor is a second modern bathroom with wc, basin and large walk in shower. Downstairs there is a fourth single bedroom which can also be used as an office or study and a third bathroom with w.c. sink basin and large walk in shower. It benefits from centralised hot & cold climate control Daikin air conditioning, the bedrooms and lounge also have radiators and there is a very effecient wood burning stove type fire in the lounge for the winter. The kitchen dining room has a table with seating for up to 6/7 people, stainless steel range cooker, dish washer & retro style fridge and microwave. The house dates back to 1850 and is one of a very few detached properties in the historic old town. The house has a lovely mix of the old character features belnded beautifully with modern facilities and appliances striking a wonderful balance between old and new. The court yard area is completely private and not over looked from any aspect. The road is very narrow at the front of the house and only a handful of cars come along it each day making it very safe for young children, it is possible to park directly in front of the house for unloading although you can not park there for extended periods as it is too narrow for another car to pass by, this does not cause any problems as there are not many cars that need to do so. The house has UK Satellite TV with a free to air Sky box, high speed broadband WiFi and a music centre with radio, cd player and a iPod connection.

Beautiful, Eclectic Town House

We have stayed in and around Pollensa for many years. This house had a lovely feel to it- a fantastic mix of styles which worked so well. The pictures don't do this home justice. The pool area was lovely and secluded - perfect for brekkie or sunbathing. We had children (aged 11 and 15) and had no complaints.
The town facilities, which are many, are all a few minutes walk away. I would confirm the previous post and response from the owner; get a small car - parking is tight and can be difficult.
Colin, the owner was charming through-out from initial contact to welcoming us on arrival. We could not ask for more.
The house was spotless and in perfect working order. It was well equipped and you could cook and eat here with little problem.

The beach at Port De Pollensa is an easy 5 mins drive away. The beautiful mountain drive through to Soller, Deia is a must. Great Sunday market in Pollensa and Palma only 40 mins away - but you might want to go by train. Takes a bit longer - costs only €4-50. No car hassles.
This is a lovely place to spend a holiday. Give it a try - we did and loved it.

The Perfect Holiday Home

This was our second visit to this charming house. The house has everything required and all appliances are top quality. The house has been kept in immaculate condition and is always spotlessly clean. It is a perfect size for a large family. We are a family of six, two of which are children. The master bedroom is enormous and very comfortable. The three other bedrooms are a decent size and perfectly adequate. The three bathrooms in the house are a real bonus. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner Colin who is always available and happy to help.

The location is just about perfect close to the beautiful Plaza Mayor and Calvari Steps. The beautiful beach in Port de Pollenca is only a short bus ride away.
There are plenty of shops close to the house - an excellent bakers and butcher. There is a large supermarket a five minute or so walk away. There are plenty of restaurants around the Plaza Mayor. We used Il Garginio many times and were never disappointed although it is a little on the expensive side. GR221 is also very good.

Super holiday again and will be back next year

fabulous location

Really enjoyed our holiday but were a little disapointed with the villa as we felt that it was definitely not suitable for seven adults. Would be excellent for a family with children. There were only two sunbeds and the two smaller bedrooms upstairs were not big enough for adults. One of the bedrooms had no mirror! for us ladies that was a problem!
The villa was clean and generally well maintained although we had a problem with the iron and were expecting a replacement unfortunately it didn't materialise. Location was perfect, loved the old town and enjoyed the many delicious restaurants all within walking distance. We hired two small cars parking was tight in such narrow streets and be aware on the 1st of the month all cars need to park the opposite side. We got a parking ticket and had no idea why! Still had a fab time and will hopefully be back in pollensa next year.
Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I agree the villa is on the small side for 7 adults, it is 150m2 as described on the advertisement, I would normally highlight this to people when they make a reservation, most parties have children with them and it is not an issue, although 7 adults have stayed here in the past a given 5 star reviews, (see Terry UK) . It very much depends on the group dynamics, I think the issue here was that it was an all female group sharing rooms and beds which was never mentioned when the booking was made, often in these situations one member has been responsible for choosing the accommodation and other parts of the group wanted something else, after a week of bickering the person responsible for booking it feels justified in posting an unfair review. I can not agree that the bedrooms are not big enough for adults, there is one large bedroom with a super kingsize bed, the smaller double bedroom has a king size sleigh bed and the third bedroom 2 full size twin beds. The second and third bedrooms are small rooms but they are perfectly adequate for adults or children, possibly not big enough for 7 ladies wanting to get ready at the same time. I am more than happy to provide additional sunbeds if requested, no request was made to provide extra ones and I would have done if they had been asked for. The client gave me the iron 48 hours before the group departed and told me they did not need a replacement as they would not need to do any more ironing, it was replaced the following day and put back in the cupboard by the cleaner. It was only reported to me when I called around to check that everything had been OK with their stay, nothing was mentioned about Sun beds etc. The property offered value for money for the clients who paid approx half the cost that they would have done for a similar standard hotel with even less space. I have many other properties advertised on the site that are larger and would have offered more space for the group if that was a key requirement but would have been more expensive. This is a very good standard property as most of the 5 star ratings suggest. In the Old town, one of the things you have to forfiet is space for the convenient location it is about striking a balance of what requirements are important to you. On parking, certain streets in Pollensa, the cars have to park on different sides each calendar month, if you leave it on the wrong side for longer than a day then you will get a ticket and even towed away.

This house offers first class family accommodation in a perfect location close to the town centre, restaurants and supermarket. The property was as described in the advert and spotlessly clean. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable and the other bedrooms are perfectly adequate. The dining room/kitchen, although slightly on the small side, has excellent Bosh appliances. On the odd occasion we needed to ask the owner, Colin, for anything he responded immediately without any fuss. Car not necessary as there is an excellent bus service to Porto Pollenca and Palma.

Il Giardino probably our favorite restaurant but LuLu's bistro is fantastic value and has the cleanest and best stocked toilets I have ever visited!

The climb to Puig De Maria is well worth the effort but it does take about an hour and the last part is very uneven. Fantastic views over Pollenca from the top

Our holiday was such a success we have booked to return next year - can't wait

The northernmost spurs of Sierra de Tramuntana are the backdrop of the Mallorcan town of Pollença. The town has a medieval historic quarter that sits only a few kilometres away from the Mediterranean sea. The town, under the shade of the mountains of Puig de Pollença and Calvari, has managed to preserve intact its personality, despite being only a short distance from the bustle of the beach. Pollensa has been a preferred destination of painters and artists since the beginning of this century. Here, the cultural and artistic life never stops. The main square with its pavement cafes and chique restaurants is the hub of the towns unique charm. There are a lot of art galleries and museums. During nearly all the year one can enjoy a variety of musical events and fiestas among which the most famous ones are those which take place in the Santo Domingo Cloister. The town is open all year round with walkers, cyclists and bird watchers taking over from the summer tourists in the cooler months.
