Lovely condo on Half Moon Bay, Akumal
We recently stayed in this condo, which is part of the Playa Blanca complex. We absolutely loved it! It was wonderful to be on the bottom floor, right on the sand! Condo #1 is an end unit and next door is an empty lot, which was so nice. Walk right out onto the patio, right out onto the sand, right into the water, etc. Just perfect! It was very clean, spacious, had all the cooking utensils we needed. Great to have a microwave and toaster oven - we used that very frequently to make quesadillas! It was also nice that our boys each had their own bed and bath, in the second bedroom. The one recommendation I do have is maybe to have some kind of large "throw rug" near slider door...the tile floor got very slippery, from us coming and going from the water. Might be nice to have a rug to really wipe feet off well. Other than that, all was perfect! If we come back again (which we are planning on!) we would rent this condo again, and recommend it as well to others!
It is literally a 2 minute walk to La Buena Vida restaurant, which is so convenient. As long as you have a rental car, it's a great location. But if you don't have a car, you can rent bikes, golf carts, etc. right next door I believe, to explore Akumal. Then you can use taxis, the collectivos, etc. for exploring out of Akumal.
