"Los Olivos" is one of 14 houses in a gated community on San Andres Golf. San Andres is situated mid way between Conil and Chiclana and about seven minutes by car from the beautiful beaches of Roche and Barrosa at Lomo de Sancti Petri.

The lounge dining room looks out over the small private garden [3m x 5m] and beyond to the fairways of the Campano golf course. The kitchen looks out over the front patio and communal gardens; fully fitted the kitchen has a hob and oven,microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

On the first floor is the master bedroom with large double bed and ensuite full master bathroom. The bedroom faces east with a large terrace perfect for the sunrise. The second bedroom with west facing terrace has a large double bed. There is a shower bathroom next to the second bedroom. There is a staircase from the spacious landing leading to the large roof terrace.

The third bedroom [a large single bed] with ensuite bathroom is on the ground floor.

There is a fireplace in the lounge dining room which leads to the spacious back porch and large private garden.

In the pretty communal gardens there is a pool [8m x 4m] with two showers and sun shades.

A very relaxing, complete and wonderful house

What a pleasant and relaxing holiday we had there !

The description of the house is accurate and we were very satisfied of all the facilites and the beauty of the house. We were very well welcomed and surprised when we entered the house first. It was cleaned and well furnished (sheets and towels are provided and changed every week). Also the house looks smaller on the pictures, we didn't expect such a big house. We were 4 young adults with a baby and the 2 spacious bedrooms were largely sufficient for us.

There are many beautiful beaches to see in the surrounding areas and the closest city Conil is 10 min by car and is a must-go (it is the place to go if you want to drink a good mojito or even eat an ice-cream)

There are plenty of activities to do there but a car is essential. The owner will give you a full description of all the activities and sightseeing. The booking was also very fast and done professionnaly.

Overall I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place, close to everything (there is a supermarket, petrol station, beckery, buchery, etc at 5 mins by car).

Great time

It was just a perfect holiday. The house was clean with a lot of space for us (2 persons). Kitchen well equipped, nice terrace with a small garden on the ground floor for having breakfast or dinner and a big terrace on the first floor for having coffee in the late afternoon. Internet was working reliable so we were well connected. Swimming pool was clean so we could enjoy in in the evenings when we came back from our trips. There are multiple interesting places around to visit. Conil is very near. Also Cadiz, Vejer or Jerez. I can recommend this accommodation, there was nothing to complain about even if I am very picky. I felt very comfortable there and I would book it again.

lovely, relaxing surroundings

The house was everything we had been expecting. We were greeted on arrival at a nearby bar and taken to the house as it could have been a bit tricky to find on our own but once shown we were okay.

Everything was clean and well maintained, we even had beach towels provided which was very useful.

There was plenty of room for the 4 of us both within the house and outside.

You do need a car as the beaches and restaurants are all a drive away. La Barossa beach (the nearest) ia absolutely beautiful and also has very good & clean facilities!

There are plenty of good restaurants around the area, we never had a bad meal all week.

The golf course is very handy and the boys said it was a good course.

I would definitely recommend this property, especially if you want a nic, quiet & relaxing holiday!!

San Andres near Conil 5mins beach

This accomodation provided an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area. It is well appointed with good kitchen facilities, good bedrooms and bathrooms and a very comfortable lounge diner. It was always good to come back from a days sightseeing and relax on either the down stairs terrace or upstairs balcony. The views over the golf course (really more of an olive grove) made it feel very pleasant.

When we stayed (Easter), the surrounding area was quiet.A car is essential in order to get to the nearest shops, restaurants and beaches.

I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Schön war die Zeit...

Der Bewertung "Vielen Dank..." vom 19. Juni 2010 schließen wir uns an. Sie hat uns damals bewogen, das Haus zu mieten. Sie beschreibt das Haus sehr gut und gilt im Wesentlichen unverändert. Ergänzend dazu noch unser persönlicher Eindruck: Die Wohnanlage San Andres gruppiert sich um einen Golfplatz, außer Anschluss zur Schnellstraße keine Infrastruktur. Dies ist vorteilhaft für Ausflüge: Sevilla 1 Stunde, Cadiz 30 Minuten usw. - insgesamt ein guter Auspunkt für einen Mix für einen Sightseeing und Strandurlaub. Eine komplette Grundreinigung würde das ganze Ambiete noch angenehmer machen und man würde sich noch wohler fühlen. Der Ausblick von der Dachterrasse war klasse, die Lage des Hauses ruhig, jedoch beginnt der Greenkeeper seine Arbeit werktags spätestens um 8 Uhr, also nichts für Langschläfer. Für Läufer - Joggingrunde um den Golfplatz ca. 5 km, jedoch gibts keinen Bäcker und Supermarkt, wo man mal kurz vorbei laufen könnte. Dass mit der geringen Belegung/Nutzung der Häuser außerhalb der Ferienzeit trifft voll und ganz. Wir hatten größtenteils die Anlage "für uns", so dass man auch nach Ausflügen locker nochmal um 22 Uhr in den Pool konnte. Bis zum Strand Playa Barossa braucht man ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto, ist einfach zu finden und weiter zu empfehlen. Die Housekeeper Bob und seine Frau waren sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit mit Rat und Tat und Tipps bereit. Auch die Buchung war einfach, unbürokratisch und unkompliziert. Uns hat es insgesamt gut gefallen und wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub.

Hoffentlich wird der Greenkeeper bald sein Program aendern . . . . . wir hatten viel Regen in Maerz 2010 und Aguas Chiclana mussen groessere Rohe instalieren und dann werden sie die 400m von der Calle Luxemburgo erneuern. Niemand weisst was gibt mit dem unvollendeten Hotel . .

Flamenco

During the spring, early summer and autumn you can often see flamenco – spontaneous or formal at the village ferias. Heats for the national competition also take place in Cadiz old town close to the gardens. Also in the theatres such as the Cortes Theatre in San Fernando or in Chiclana or Cadiz or Cordoba but also in the open air on a summer weekend by the Guzman Tower in Conil.

Situated in the heart of Cadiz old town not far from the Town Hall is a permanent venue . . . . and this troupe are very good, very passionate with a guitarist, cantor, one male dancer and two female dancers . . . best to book and to book a table close to the stage. It is possible to eat beforehand and the performance starts usually at 9.30.

Ferias, Bullfighting and bull running

Firmly entrenched in the Spanish way of life . . . . . . the hills around the LaJanda plain are often covered with herds of cattle and fighting bulls . . .

Chiclana has a bull ring, the bull ring at Ronda dates back to Roman times and at Alcala de los Gazules [a nearby hilltop village] there is bull running during their feria.

The local tourist offices are best to find where the nearest ferias are . . . . El Colorado’s takes place in mid-June and Conil’s and Tarifa’s is early in September . . .

Take the road to Vejer; motorway peters out and a few hundred yards later is a filter to the left. Take this and do an immediate “U” turn. As you go back along the road no more than a couple of hundred yards you’ll see telephone cables strung across the road and immediately a small turning to Santa Lucia. Continue up to the church square and park. Walking to the left past the monument you’ll see steps up to the restaurant and hear some light jazz above the water rushing off the old roman viaduct . . . select your choice cut of meat for the main course – starters and sweets also good. Need to book at peak times [mid to late afternoon and late evening] – believe office closed on Fridays.

Extremely Spanish, extremely unrefined but brilliant seafood. Located at back of stony car park on road up from Conil fishing port/fish auction yards to the Roche lighthouse [brilliant views across Conil to El Palmar and Trafalgar]. Just turn up – could be closed, could be open but usually is [in summer].

El Timon

In Roche, overlooking the beach. Great for morning coffee or evening drink on terrace, excellent cuisine . . . overlooking the ocean. Very nice family - keen sailors.

Main entrance is in Plaza Espana. There is often parking in the square but if not go through the square and down the hill where there is a large car park and it is then a short walk up the hill – when you see to your left a pretty calle full of flowers this is the courtyard entrance.
