About this property

Rose Cottage is the ocean-front beach house your family will want to return to every year. Walk just 100 feet to wade in the Atlantic Ocean, or admire the magnificent view from a porch swing on the wrap-around deck.

No check in required due to our keyless entry.

The deck wraps around a great room on the main floor that includes plenty of comfortable seating, a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and a dining table for six. An electric fireplace makes it cozy even for chilly seasons.

Three upstairs bedrooms, one with a king size bed and two with queen beds, provide plenty of space for six people. All are spotlessly clean, and freshly-washed linens will be provided for each bed. The master bedroom has a connecting full bathroom, and there is a second full bath on the main level, but you may find your favorite place to clean up after a day on the sand is the outdoor shower.

We've got all the modern entertainments: 4 TVs, a video library, book library, free WIFI, and games for the kids, but it's really all about the beach! Step off the deck onto the beach path and find any water sport you want to enjoy just steps away. Catch dinner and take it to our fish cleaning station under the house to get it ready for the kitchen or the charcoal grill.

The HVAC will shut off if doors or windows are left open to keep the compressor from freezing up resulting in damage to the ac system.

Retired and thankful!

Great restful cottage. The wind and waves were fun for a visitor to see but the locals were on edge because of the strength of wind. The waves were entertaining. Rainbows were beautiful! House was very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided!

Great getaway spot

Lovely cottage, especially for just two people and a dog. Easy beach access, well-equipped kitchen, cozy vibe. Owners were responsive and friendly when we had a couple of questions. Very pleased overall and will likely be back!

Rose Cottage

Absolutely no complaints about Rose Cottage. Perfect size for our family. Well maintained and relaxing. Quiet little street and the beach access is great. Would definitely stay here again when in Rodanthe!

Frank and Beverly are the proud owners of 'Rose Cottage' as well as two other properties closeby. We have been vacationing/living on the outer banks for years and will retire in Rodanthe someday. It is the perfect place to be. Both Frank and Beverly are NC licensed builders. Frank retired from the US Marine Corps. We have six Brussels Griffons: Scout, Monkey, Little Bit, Gracie and Bebe - they always travel with us to the Outer Banks.

Why they chose this property

The Outer Banks has been our favorite vacation spot for years. This is the second property we have bought in this area (The others are VRBO #426760 and #584841, a short walk down the beach). It's easy driving from our home in Greensboro, NC. It's close to great restaurants, shopping, golf, sightseeing yet very remote and very casual. Also, the Outer Banks is routinely rated in the top five US beaches by US News, National Geographic, ABC News and CBS News.

What makes this property unique

Sitting on the front porch in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine or ice tea, feeling the ocean breeze while watching dolphin, surfers and swimmers has become our most treasured time. Early in the morning, we'll catch up on news and sports via wifi while sipping coffee and snacking on delicious pastries. There is a blue single story house that sits to the front left of Rose Cottage = all of our pictures are current and accurate. Rose Cottage has direct access to the ocean via a 15 yard private path.
