VILLA ANNA is on an elevated site with panoramic views of Souda Bay, Aspro Village, White Mountains and olive groves. Self-catering villa has its own garden planted with colourful Mediterranean plants. A large stone PATIO with BBQ, 3 BALCONIES and arched terrace provide both sun or shade. The SWIMMING POOL is shared with 4 other villas.

Villa Anna has 2 BEDROOMS - both have balconies with stunning views; convertible sofa provides additional bed; 2 bathrooms, air-conditioning; well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Tastefully decorated throughout.

It is near the BLUE FLAG BEACH at Almyrida with its excellent beachside tavernas, sailing, windsurfing, mountain bike and car hire, mini supermarkets & shops. Chania's Apokoronas area is one of the most beautiful areas of Western Crete and Aspro an old Greek village with 'special historic' status.

If you are looking for the best of traditional Crete with modern amenities then Villa Anna will tick all the boxes.

Villa Anna - Aspro: Villa Anna is in a small development of new houses overlooking the village of Aspro. Stone and colours sympathetic to the village make the houses blend in; the houses are at different levels echoing tradition thereby affording all houses excellent views. Garden walls are of local stone and the gardens are planted with Mediterranean plants.

Villa Anna is front line so has panoramic views of Aspro Village to Souda Bay, the White Mountains and olive groves. 3 balconies, arched stone entrance terrace and large stone patio, provide plenty of space for sunbathing, BBQs and alfresco dining.

The shared 40m2 swimming pool has surrounding stone walls and is only a few steps away from Villa Anna.

All around are olive trees with old agricultural road ideal for walking and leading to neighbouring villages. It is only a short drive to the sandy beach in Almyrida (2 km) so is an ideal location for beach or walking holidays. Lovely Chania and its old harbour are 30 mins away (24km)

Villa Anna is in beautiful Apokoronas. White Mountains (2453m), snow capped until late spring, provide a dramatic backdrop to its traditional inland villages of Vamos, Gavalochori, Douliana, Plaka and Kokkino Chorio. The area has retained its character and visitors are drawn to the natural beauty, the people and their way of life. Many have become so enchanted with Apokoronas that they have bought homes, which has boosted the tourist facilities in the area.

The seaside resorts of Almyrida (or Almirida) and Kalives are located in Souda Bay. Almyrida once a small fishing village still retains its charm. It is now a thriving seaside resort with traditional tavernas lining its shallow blue flag beach which is ideal for children. Windsurfing and sailing, walking and bike hire are available for active holidays and beach lounger for sun lovers. Mini markets, vegetable shop, baker, patisserie, wine shop and news agency provide all the basics.

Chania, 'most beautiful city on Crete' and Rethymnon are only 30+ minutes away. The famous Minoan site at Knossos is also easily reached by car. The local site of Aptera is a must as its sensitive excavation has retained its authenticity.

It too has an outside window with mosquito screen. The laundry basket is located there too. • WASHING MACHINE near downstairs bathroom It is built in under the stairs alongside a cupboard for the iron and ironing board, a supply of washing tablets and softener, vacuum cleaner etc.

Notes: SOLAR WATER HEATING is backed up by electrics. Plug in INSECT REPELLENTS are also provided. The LIVING - SITTING ROOM has air-conditioning, is open plan and stylishly furnished with good lighting, comfortable sofa, cane armchairs, 4 side tables, extendible dining table seating 6+ and TV etc. 2 double French doors lead to a large balcony with pergola and round marble topped table and chairs. The stone arched entrance has a large marble topped table and chairs. The KITCHEN has a plentiful supply of ware, glasses, cutlery, utensils and good quality saucepans, frying pans and oven dishes and a full sized oven with 4 ring hob. THE SHARED POOL is only a few steps away and rarely gets crowded. The GARDEN with stone walls has been planted with Mediterranean type plants including Olive and Lemon trees, Bougainvillea, Jasmine, Rosemary, Lavender etc. In time all 3 pergolas will be covered in a riot of colour and the fragrance will further enhance outdoor dining.
