The apartment is very conveniently located in the centre of Paris (9th district - 75009) in a bustling neighbourhood full of shops, cafes and restaurants and close to the main sights. It is in a beautiful, traditional, honey-coloured, sandstone, Parisian building which forms part of the pretty, square surrounding the welcoming and well-maintained, central park which forms Square Montholon..

The apartment is open, light and airy with large windows in the main lounge and bedrooms and a pleasant aspect overlooking the green and lovely park (Square Montholon).

The apartment very comfortably sleeps 4-5 people however it can accommodate up to 7 when utilising the sofa bed in the sitting room.

It is located on the first floor of the building and is easy to access. There is also a lift (elevator) for the less able.

The block is 3 minutes on foot from Metro Poissoniere (line 7) and 5-6 minutes on foot from Metro Cadet also line 7.

Car parking is available on street and tickets can be purchased in the local tabacs or alternatively guests can use the underground NCP car park which is located directly beneath Square Montholon.

Prices for the apartment are as quoted in the rates below - NO SURPRISES !!!.

Beds are freshly prepared for guests arriving and towels, heating, lighting, wifi etc. are all included in the price quoted.

The block has a secure carriage door entry way fitted with an access code lock. On opening one enters a tiled court yard with a further glass security door and entry system and then on into the apartment block proper. The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessed either via the lift or by the beautifully refurbished, original, wooden stairway.

The apartment has a large reception hall with polished, hardwood flooring, period cornice and feature lighting and window onto interior courtyard.

Separate, newly fitted kitchen with quality units, hardwood work surfaces, hardwood flooring and feature lighting.

Shower room with 1.2m shower enclosure and pressurised shower, toilet and wash hand basin; fully tiled with heated floor and feature lighting.

Cloakroom with wash hand basin, vanity unit and toilet.

Large triple bedroom, again with period features and two large windows overlooking the well maintained park opposite, an additional pull out bed and period light fittings.

The second bedroom has a four poster bed and period light fittings and a large window onto the internal courtyard.

A lounge again with period features and two large bay windows overlooking park. There is a table and chairs for dining and 2 settees, one a bed settee for agreed party's larger than 4.

Period features throughout the apartment. Free wifi throughout the apartment.

Close to Mont Martre, Sacre Coeur, Opera, Madeleine,Louvre

Notre Dame, Folies Berger, Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est,

The apartment is prepared for your stay with the beds freshly made up in advance of your arrival. The price quoted also includes a provision of towels, electricity and heating.

There is a supermarket 150 meters from the apartment where most items can be purchased.

The closest Metro is Poissonniere on the number 7 (pink on the maps) route.

The apartment is easy to find, it is opposite Square Montholon in the 9th arrondissement just a three minute walk away from Metro Poissonniere.

We are well located for the metro (75 yards) bus (30 yards) Gare de Nord, ATM (30 yards) park (30 yards) Café (20 yards) grocer (20 yards) Louvre (20 minutes walk) Mont Martre (20 minutes walk) Opera (15 minutes walk) Notre Dame (20 minute walk) etc

All of Paris is a Metro ride, and tickets cost are very reasonable, a complete journey can include the Metro, Bus and RER train in any one ticket….excellent value.

Free bikes can be found to the right of the square…see link below.

There are bicycles for hire from the city of Paris on most major streets and at most monuments. First half hour is free and nominal charge thereafter. All automatic using your Visa card or a Navigo Card…best research on the net as I have never used this card. You can pick up the bike, and leave somewhere else….reverse to come back.

The apartment is located in an old house near Gare du Nord railway station. The location is great. The Louvre, the Montmartre and the Galleries Lafayette are in walking distance. You can reach the most popular places of interests by Metro. The apartment has everything to have a good rest. The kitchen is quite small but if you have only breakfast you will find everything you need. Only two negative moments: the hood in the kitchen is very loud even after you have left the kitchen and have switched off the light. Also, the stove worked not so well. Everything was ready and clean when we arrived. There are beautiful French windows with small French balconies at the apartment. The apartment has very modest furniture, but this is enough to relax after walking about the city. There is a nice playground for kids opposite the house. We are satisfied completely with our staying at this apartment. I think it is a very good alternative to staying in hotels.

Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) have just spent 4 wonderful days in Paris on the final stage of our European holiday. The apartment was everything Diane said it would be. Full of charm and so many nice features. And wow.... that staircase to the first floor is beautiful ! Who would use the lift ?

The booking process was simple and straight forward and we were greeted on arrival as arranged. We caught the RER from CDG Airport to Gard du Nord and walked to the 5 minutes to the apartment. It is very easy.

The apartment is clean and well maintained. It has plenty of bedding and amazingly two toilets... which for a family of 5 is a big plus ! The location is fantastic. There are two Metro stations very close, but honestly you could walk to pretty much anywhere.

The location of this apartment affords you to a choice of places to buy food or eat out.

Overall a great place to stay for a holiday. Beats hotel accomodation by a mile !

Lovely apartment in great location.

This apartment was perfect for our family of four. Light, spacious and very quiet at night. The park opposite was a great place to sit and relax, and there are plenty of restaurants/boulangeries/supermarkets nearby. Well-located for the main sites of Paris - we walked everywhere! We have stayed in Paris many times before, but always in hotels - never again. Why pay to stay in a shoebox when you could spend time in a lovely apartment like this? Highly recommended.

We have had a great trip and really enjoyed spending time in your apartment.
It was very comfortable,clean, cosy and warm which was a delight to come home to after cold days out.
Giovanni and co were friendly and helpful and always had a smile and a welcome.
We enjoyed eating in his restaurant.
We loved the central location and the period features of the apartment especially the light, bright windows.
We can't wait to come back. Paris is my new favourite city.

Conveniently located Apartment

The apartment was very conevniently located near Metro, attarctions, Gare du Nord. They are shops, banks, supermarket all located within easy walk. Parking station across the road if required. Apartment was tight for our family of 6 but nevertheless suitable - certainly beats a hotel for central Paris. Would recommend to other families

I would just like to highlight the fact that the apartment is very comfortable for 4 people sharing, if customers want to economise and share with more people I like to give them the opportunity to do so.

As you will see I only charge a very small, nominal, additional charge per person per night over and above the original price for 4 people sharing which is already very competitive.
The additional charge realistically only contributes to the additional wear and tear on the apartment and the additional use of services.
It does not represent a gain for me.
I hope customers appreciate the value they are getting when they chose to come in groups of 5-6 and above.

It is 100m to Metro Poissoniere and 250m to Metro Cadet. Buses depart from across the road.

You can comfortably walk to Mont Martre, Sacre Coeur, Opera Garnier, The Follies Bergere, The Louvre, Notre Dame, Madeleine, Place de la Concorde and Ile de la Cite.

  • The shower room is fully tiled with a heated floor and shaver light and plug. there is a double sized shower cubicle and a high and low shower head. There is also a toilet and washbasin. the cloakroom has a toilet and vanity unit with washbasin, very useful if someone is showering! This second toilet has a tiled floor also. Both toilets have extractor fans . Some toilet paper and soap are provided on arrival, along with towels. Most cleaning materials and cloths can be found in the cupboard under the sink in the kitchen. All extractor fans switch on automatically, and will switch off when the light is put off (after a delay) Younger children should be supervised when thay are using the bathrooms and kitchen as there is hot water.

  • The double bed is a king size four poster bed with drapes at the back. The 3 single beds are all three foot beds with proper mattresses. The 3rd single bed pulls out from underneath one of the others, allowing plenty of room when pushed away during the day. The bed settee is double sized and has a sprung mattress. All the beds have comfortable mattresses. The bedrooms are separate rooms with their own doors....no odd arrangements as can be found in some apartments where you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other. The bathroom is separate and off the main hall, as is the kitchen and cloakroom. Bedrooms are all double glazed and carpeted for comfort and insulation.

There is a lift to our apartment, although being on the first floor, this may not always be considered necessary. Entry lights are on sensor, so no fumbling for the light switch. Some soap and toilet paper is provided, although you may have to buy more depending on the length of your stay. We aim to provide dishwasher powder, cleaning materials, filters for the coffee machine, water softening salt for the dishwasher and laundry soap. These can occassionally be abused by clients, and we apologise should you find any of the above not present. They are, however at our discretion and a convenience offered free and in addition to your contract. Please supervise young children at all times. The wireless internet and TV signal are both beyond our local control, so please understand should you find either not working
