Ideally located in the North of the island and centrally placed in the Tourism Mecca of Gros Islet is Blue Skies Apartment.

Stay at Blue Skies and be minutes away from Rodney Bay Marina, shops, night clubs, banks, supermarkets, exquisite beaches, and award winning restaurants.

Our self-catering apartment is modern and comfortable with fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioning, internet and multijet showers or Jacuzzi style tubs. You can relax by our newly built 28 ft pool with waterfall by day and sip something cool as you luxuriate in our hot spa pool by night.

Sports? Our internationally acclaimed Beausejour Cricket Ground is minutes away as is the 18 hole St Lucia Golf Club and the Racquet Club if you are into tennis or squash. Enjoy horse riding, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, scuba-diving or simply hiking. While you are with us, take a trip to the Pitons and our walk in volcano; and don't forget Pigeon Island National Park, home to the world famous Jazz Festival.

My husband, Simon and I are English and moved to St. Lucia in 2007. We renovated this property and set up Blue Skies.

We love the Island and our ambition is to help our guests have a fantastic time.

We love the Rodney Bay area, it is where everything happens. You have the best of both worlds: the buzz surrounding the restaurants, bars and night-clubs along by Reduit Beach...The beautiful scenery and quiet sophistication of Rodney Bay Marina parading elegant yachts of every shape and size.

Within a few minutes we have Pigeon Island - a National Park, so quiet and beautiful: you can lay on a near deserted beach taking in the fantastic views with the calm waters of the Caribbean sea gently lapping.

For contrast, travel another 7 or 8 minutes to the wild side. Cas en Bas Beach is on the Atlantic Coast: here the constant warm winds provide power for the Kite Surfers and horses take their riders into the sea. The landscape is rugged and breathtaking.

We offer to take our guests to all the places mentioned, the day after they arrive, to show them the diversity of this part of the Island and hopefully help them to get as much as possible from their stay.

Throughout the time guests stay with us, we are available to assist; whether it is a small thing like where to buy a particular item or some thing larger -planning a major excursion of the Island for instance, we are always delighted to help in any way we can - we love St. Lucia and want our guests to leave with unique and long-lasting happy memories.

We are minutes away from Rodney Bay Mall, Marina, Reduit Beach, Gros Islet village the golf course, the racquet club, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and nightclubs as well as Pigeon Island National Trust Park, home to the St Lucia Jazz Festival, and Beausejour cricket ground which hosted the World Cup Semi-final.

A short walk takes you to the Rodney Bay Marina where you can hire a boat to go whale watching or deep sea fishing. Frequent buses leave from there and you can be in Castries in 15 minutes, or Gros Islet for the Friday Night Jump-up part in five.

Hire a car and visit The Pitons, marvel at the walk-in volcano and stroll through the old capital, Soufriere. Take a sedate airborne ride through the rainforest canopy or observe the exotic flora and fauna as you hurtle down a zip line.

St Lucia's beautiful beaches are ideal for windsurfing, sailing, kite surfing, water skiing and water biking.

What more could you want?

A clean and large apartment set-up for living comfortably, a pool a step away, a nice porch to sit outside and enjoy the day and evening, two very friendly and responsible hosts and three dogs to keep you company, or not depending upon your pet needs. The pluses, make sure you have Simon or Francine pick you up at the airport. Cooler with cold beverages and a bit of local info on the 90 minute drive to the apartment. Very much appreciated the orientation the following day to get a feel of the layout. A short 10 or 15 minute walk to the supermarket or go further to town about a 1/2 hr from Blue Skies. If you don't want to walk and Simon or Francine aren't available call Alie the Cabbie! HE IS FABULOUS! Timely, clean, safe drive and knows so much about everything happening on the island. Plus he's a chef you want him to cook at your apt. It is a bit far for beach enjoyment but that wasn't a problem for us as we were busy with different tours and places of interests. Simon and Francine are as friendly to visitors if you wish or if it's privacy they give you that. I appreciated that aspect of staying at Blue Skies. All in all, I highly recommend Blue Skies. We have been to St Lucia three times and Blue Skieds is definately one of the best places we have stayed.

Francine and Simon the owners, could not have been more helpful. They provide and orientation trip on the day after your arrival, even though we were not new to the island, they showed us things we had not sen before or plaaces we had not been to.

The apartment was superb (1 bed), very spacious and clean and in a lovely setting, with a lovely pool and jacuzzi. Because there are only two apartments there was plenty of room in the pool. The welcome pack in the fridge was very good as we didn't have to venture out to the shops when we arrived.

The location of the apartments was excellent, a 10 minute walk to the marina and about twenty minutes to bars and restaurants in Rodney Bay. I would recommend a taxi back at night, but Simon has the details of a local taxi driver that they recommend.

Blue Skies is a real find and we have already booked to go back again next year. The only problem is if everybody gets to know about it we may not be able to get booked in!!!!!

We have had a great time in St Lucia and Blue Skies. The Apartment is everything we could have asked for spacious, clean and beautiful. Also Simon & Francine were great hosts and we would like to thank them for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely recommend these apartments to friends and family. We had a fantastic time!!

Next to our honeymoon this has been our best holiday ever. Thank you Simon & Francine for being such wonderful hosts. Thank you Ellie & Ziggy for befriending and entertaining us! The pool & hot tub are fantastic. Pigeon Island is beautifully relaxing. Our day trips around the island were informative, educational and so much fun. We would not change a thing of the past 3 weeks. We will miss you! Thank you for everything.

You are wonderful hosts and somehow because you are so welcoming and relaxed we feel we've known you for years. Your enthusiasm for and love of the island is catching. We'll definately recommed a holiday here to others. The Apartment is very very comfortable with all we needed. Sad to be moving on. Wishing you both much success in the future.
