Scenic 3 bed(all en suite) lodge(sleeps up to7)with large open plan living area

Spacious 3 bedroom 3 bathroom lodge in beautiful Highland Perthshire, Scotland

The Lodge was built to 5 star standard in 2008 and is now available as a self catering let. It sits within a development of 16 Lodges, surrounded by trees and overlooking a specially constructed Lochan, with views to hills inhabited by deer and other Scottish wildlife.

Accommodation, all on the ground floor, comprises 3 bedrooms, all with full en suite facilities. The Master Bedroom comes fitted with a king size bed and Bedrooms 2 with a double bed and 3 with 2 single beds.

The living area is open plan with a fully equipped modern kitchen with washing machine, dining area with seating for 7. Additionally there is a seating area with a sofas, flat screen TV with Freeview channels.

All the interior fittings and appointments in the Lodge are to the highest standards.

Outside there is an ample parking area and decking accessed from the living area with outside dining furniture, positioned over the lochan.

Adventure sports : Aberfeldy is the Whitewater rafting capital of UK. There are lots of other outdoor sports to try, canyoning, river bugging, quading, kayaking, paintballing, abseling, bridge swinging as well as mountain biking, hill walking and hill running in this beautiful scenic area.

Walking: Forest, riverside and lochside walks including The birks of Aberfeldy, which was immortalised in Robert Burns poem. For the more adventurous walkers there is the Schiehallion, Ben Lawers or the Tarmachan Ridge and other walks in the Glen Lyon area

Other activities: Glengoulandie Deer Park, Crannog Centre, Aberfeldy Distillery, Highland Adventure Safaris and gold panning visitors centre, Castle Menzies

The new luxury property overlooks the Glengoulandie Deer Park, beautiful scenery near Loch Tay. The location offers something for everyone from a relaxing retreat to a base for extreme adventures near Aberfeldy, the white-water rafting capital of the UK. Pitlochry is a few minutes drive and hosts some of the best outdoor activities and for the less adventurous there are great walks of golf nearby. You may want to follow the Castle or Whisky Trails or attend some of the local traditional Scottish events held inc Highland games.

Other Activities: White water rafting, archery, off roading, quad biking, paintballing, clay pigeon shooting and many other activities are available near by

Golf: There is a whole range of courses to play locally for all abilities including Aberfeldy, Kenmore, Killin, Strathtay and Taymouth Castle. However there are some more challenging and prestigious championship courses to play within a reasonable drive including Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie.

Ski: Skiing is available from late December to around Easter. Glenshee Ski Centre is only 1hrs drive from the lodge. Glenshee's impressive 21 lifts and 36 runs offer an amazing diversity of natural terrain for all standards of skiers and snowboarders. Cairngorms Ski Centre is a bit further away but also within driving distance.

Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds and an ensuite shower room with a corner shower. Oak flooring throughout the living and sleeping areas of the home with underfloor heating. Oak interior doors make for a real luxurious feeling to the property. A travel cot is available for use on request.

We recently stayed at Craig Lodge and had a wonderful holiday. The surroundings were beautiful as was the property itself. The lodge was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was in the lodge and our stay provided the peace and quiet we were looking for. Plenty of outdoor activities nearby Aberfeldy or Kenmore and we enjoyed quadbiking and horse riding amongst others. Lovely walk round the deer park and the scenery if touring is wonderful. Would highly recommend this property and hope to return soon.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

Highland adventure

Our group of friends( who've all just turned 30 !) and are scattered all over the UK meet up every year to have a long weekend and catch up, we decided to try Scotland this year and wanted to do some downhill mountain biking. This lodge was in a great location for loads of outdoor activities and provided the perfect base to come back to for hot showers and good food after a hard day on the bike. The lodge is stylish, comfortable, clean and perfect for our group to hang out in the large open plan lounge & kitchen in the evening, highly recommended !

We decided to book this place as soon as we seen it on the web for my partners birthday. There were 8 of us went for the weekend and it was amazing . As soon as we walked into the place everyone loved it . The lodge itself is huge and the decor is complete to the highest of standard its as if a designer has been brought in to do the job . The views are amazing also and very peaceful.

We took a trip into Aberfeldy one night of our stay visiting a few pubs along the way and had a meal in chillies to top off a great night .

We will definately be booking craig lodge again as everyone had a great time here I must say a big thanx to the owners for giving us the chance to expierience this wonderful place .

A FEW TIPS
If you are planning a night in Aberfeldy i would suggest to phone the taxi maybe a day or two before as the owner dave only has two cars , it is 15 pounds each way to aberfeldy but he has a 8 seater for the same price as a 5.
The tourch in the hallway draw at the lodge could come in useful as it gets really dark at night as it is so dark

A lovely stay with a group of friends for the etape cycle weekend. Excellent cycling area. Lovely spacious lodge with lochside scenic views. Perfect for entertaining family or friends away from it all. No phone or internet signal for a peaceful weekend. Plenty of fun with vast board game selection. Aberfeldy nearby for supplies

Me,my wife and our 3 and 6 year old girls have just returned from probably the best week away we have ever had! Craig Lodge is amazing. The location is fantastic, the scenery is unbelievable and the girls were so excited every morning seeing the deer acroos the loch. The lodge itself is immaculate and has everything you could want or need. Spending our days out and about at Pitlochry,Comrie,Creiff or Blair Castle not to mention the local walks near the lodge such as the Birks of Aberfeldy or Weems woods made for a fantastic holiday. We will definately be recommending it and returning again soon. The fact that the blackberry doesn't get a signal was a god send because the peace and quiet of the surroundings really makes you relax. 10 out of 10 great little place. Thanks for such a wonderfull holiday!
