Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Portreath
2-bedroom seaside home for holiday rental on Cornwall's stunning North Coast.

A short walk to Portreath's large sandy beach on Cornwall's spectacular North Coast, The Boys' Cottage

is a lovingly-restored two-bedroomed stone fisherman's cottage, dating from the 1850s.

The garden terraces and two sun decks provide stunning views out across the bay to the Atlantic. The garden

provides secluded areas to sunbathe, watch the seagulls, or just enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sun sink below the horizon.

The cottage has a large double bedroom with views down to the harbour and a twin-bedded room at the rear with views up to the garden terraces. The well-equipped kitchen leads to a dining area and a door to the sun-trap courtyard - ideal for barbecues!

Portreath is an excellent base from which to explore the South West and is one of the most spectacular beauty spots in the county. Although uncommercialised, the village has three inns, a general store and post office, a bakers, a surf shop and a selection of restaurants and cafes.

The garden terraces and two sun decks provide stunning views out across the bay to the Atlantic ocean. The

garden provides you with secluded areas to sunbathe, have a barbecue, or just enjoy a glass of wine on a warm summer's evening as you watch the sun sink below the horizon.

The sun-trap courtyard has a table and four chairs - there are steps from here up into the garden and the sun decks. The front living room looks out on to the front garden and is comfortably furnished with two leather sofas and an easy chair. There is a TV and DVD. The large kitchen leads to the dining area and from here there is a door to the courtyard. There is a radio and and I-POD dock in the kitchen. The cottage does not have its own parking space, but there is usually parking to be found close by. The cottage has storage heating, rather than central heating. The property has a telephone, but this can only be used for incoming calls. The old telephone in the hall is there for ornamental purposes and is rather faint - we suggest you use the phone in the living room.

We stayed at Boys Cottage for 1 week last July and enjoyed it a great deal. The house is very spacious, clean and just 2 minutes away from the coastal path.
The kitchen is well-furnished with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and you find all the things you need to cook a nice dinner, which we often enjoyed on the fantastic terrace overlooking the sea!
It is also an excellent basis for trips to St. Ives, St. Michaels Mount, Trebah Gardens and other places.
Should we ever go to this corner of England again, we will definitely stay at Boys Cottage!

Another fantastic holiday at Boys Cottage

Just spent half term at Boys cottage, it is our second visit to this beautiful cottage and we fully intend to return next year. As we arrived at the cottage this year we noticed that the house had been decorated since our last visit and it looked lovely and fresh. Boys cottage is very well equiped for everything you need for a great holiday. You are a short walk away from the beach (no more than 5 min) which is great. We can recommend the bakery in the village with its lovely cakes. We found a park this time in the village for our two children and a great walk which used to be the old tramway. Can highly recommend the little cafe right by the beach in St Agnes for fantastic cream teas, the scones are huge. This time we went to Fifteen Restaurant in Watergate Bay for lunch which is also highly recommended if you want a treat. All in all a fantastic holiday. Thank you Graham for the use of your lovely home.

Superb cottage matching entirely the description advertised.
Clean, equipped and a pleasure to stay there.
Perfectly located for enjoying Cornwall as is close to so many lovely places.
The view from the top of the terrace was amazing, take care with very young children getting up the steps.
We walked to the beautiful and very clean beach with two young children and we enjoyed every minute of our fantastic holiday.
Without question will return to The Boys Cottage.

Thank you Jane and Graham

Excellent location and lovely cottage

My partner and I stayed for a week in July 2010.
We found everything lovely and clean and found parking was not a problem.
We were able to park in the road outside. Things could be more difficult in peak periods. The documentation had said you could park at Fountain Springs Hotel up the road but the owner of the hotel is not now willing to allow parking.

The views from the cottage are wonderful. There is a terraced garden and from the top you can see the whole of Portreath and the sea.

The cottage provides an excellent location for visiting other places.

I would definitely recommend this cottage and may well stay there again.
