HOT TUB, POOL, TENNIS COURT, CABLE TV, WI-FI, CLOSE TO BEACH

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Port Douglas - The Villa, Port Douglas

Villa, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

The Villa, Port Douglas is one of only 13 privately owned residences in a gated complex on over 2 1/2 acres of lush tropical gardens and exclusive (to the 13 residences) common facilities including a 20m lap pool, tennis court, BBQ pavilion and a plunge pool. Many of the owners live overseas and interstate so there are times when you have the whole place to yourself.

The Villa is large (over 3,400 sq feet), private, peaceful, secure, luxurious and very well equipped including having its own private courtyard with gas BBQ, outdoor undercover dining and a fabulous 6 person Hotsprings hot tub.

It is close to all local attractions and facilities and just a short walk to Four Mile Beach. You can catch a local bus or taxi, hire a car, ride a bike or use your legs to get around. All the tour operators will pick you up at your door step and drop you back after a hard day's touristing. And there'll be plenty of time for a few 'bubbles' (of the Champagne or aqua variety) in the hot tub before cooking up a storm in the gourmet kitchen or on the BBQ, or heading off to one of our fabulous nearby restaurants (almost 100 of them).

Port Douglas is a year round destination with a fantastic tropical climate, seemingly endless nature-based tourism options and a vibrant, internationally famous 'friendly village' atmosphere. It attracts Presidents, movie stars, the rich and famous and the rest of us of more humble status and means.

And the really great news is, it's all very affordable.

About Christine Brinkley

We are experienced long term international travelers so we know what's important to us when travelling. We've lived in lots of rental properties developing our computer software company around the world. We're still relatively new (only 4 years so far) to the property rental business (as an owner, that is) but our travelling experience taught us that our properties and service levels need to be of an extremely high standard and that your high expectations must be met and hopefully exceeded when you stay with us. We enjoy fulfilling that challenge with every guest and we look forward to greeting you on your arrival at The Villa, Port Douglas. Christine and Allen

Why Christine Brinkley chose Port Douglas

Port Douglas is the jewel in the crown of Tropical North Queensland. Being the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, Atherton Tablelands and many historic outback towns, and having a year round climate that facilitates exploring the great outdoors, there is no better region in Australia (or arguably the world) to see and experience nature at its best. There are an endless number of organised or self drive tours, attractions and scenic and sensory experiences one can have in and around Port Douglas. It takes some people a lifetime to get through it all. But you can also just lie on the beach, dine in a quaint restaurant, go fishing or find a favourite drinking hole (pub) to quench your thirst. The lifestyle can be as frantic or as laid back as you want to make it. It's a hard life (if you don't weaken) but hey, someone's got to do it. So after more than 3 decades of travelling we're now enjoying what we believe is one of the best locations on the planet.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A fantastic place to stay!! Everything is very well organised, everyone was so helpful. Great location close to beach, restaurants, golf courses and lots of touristy trips on hand. The house was very spacious and everything you could possibly need. We had a fantastic family holiday.

March 2011 Port Douglas Visit

  • 5 out of 5
We stayed at The Villa during our 2-week visit to Australia in March. It is a beautiful property, very well appointed and maintained. We used the pool which was just steps outside our door as well as the tennis courts. The owner was particularly helpful in guiding us and the grocery shopping service that she provided to stock the kitchen prior to our arrival helped us to settle in quickly. While we were in Port Douglas we went snorkling at the Great Barrier Reef using one of the charters at the Marina, and drove up The Daintree Rainforest. Port Douglas has many fine restaurants. Salsa was particularly good. We would recommend The Villa and Port Douglas as preferred destination for those wanting to explore the Great Barrier Reef.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to have Holly's family stay at The Villa Port Douglas. Port Douglas is a fabulous location - on the doorstep of both the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. There is so much to do in our area we are delighted to offer extra services such as shopping and cleaning services so our guests can concentrate on "having fun".

fabulous

  • 5 out of 5
We had a lovely stay in this spacious house with a large living area, modern kitchen with its own expresso maker, three bedrooms and a swimming pool. Our family of six had a tremendous time, visiting, cooking and sighteeing. It is well situated for most tourist activities with easy access to the beach, town center, and most areas of tourist interest. We had rented a car so getting around with the house as a base was extremely easy. If you are going to Port Douglas with a party of five or six this house should be a consideration.
