Enjoy lots of peace and quiet at this adorable converted cabin just a stone’s throw from the shore! Located on pretty Berry's Cove, which is just west of Frenchman's Bay, you’ll enjoy wonderful views of Mt. Desert island. . The perfect place for the couple looking for a real Maine summer vacation spot to return to year after year!

*BEDROOM - New Queen Bed w/ LL Bean Spread and Outside-Vented Gas Heater

*KITCHENETTE - Updated basic kitchen appliances including gas stove, mini-refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.

*BATHROOM - All New with large shower, sink, and toilet.

LANGUAGES: Frederick & Aija Cahn speak English, Latvian. French, German, & Russian.

The Studio was originally built in the early 1960s, but has seen some thoughtful renovations with many modern conveniences including a renovated bathroom and kitchen appliances. Open floor plan with sitting area and kitchen, and separate Bedroom with queen bed. Full Bathroom with shower only.

There are so many tourist attractions in the area it would be impossible to name them all. Enjoy all the amenities of nearby Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor with just a 25 minute drive (approximately 3 miles away by water). Northeast and Southwest Harbor and Blue Hill are all close by.. The main commercial area is Ellsworth (15 minutes drive) with everything you could ever need. There are numerous music festivals throughout the summer, excellent restaurants, and even a cinema for rainy days. Fun attractions include several scenic flight and whale watch companies, professional kayak tours, logging shows, miniature golf, and much more. There is a beautiful and clean swimming pond within easy walking distance over the woods path and of course you can brave the Atlantic on the shore. Lamoine Beach is a couple miles down the road as is the Lamoine State Park.

Our wonderful land is located on the east end of Berry's Cove with great views of Frenchman’s Bay and Mt. Desert Island along with direct access to the shore across the front lawn. With a southwest exposure, you’ll love the bright sunny days and gorgeous sunsets. You’ll be surrounded by lots of wonderful wildlife, including eagles, loons, herons, and many other sea and shore birds.

Reduced rental times: We can rent with a minimum of 4 days as long as the rental terminates on or before a Saturday at noon. Call for price.

Please Note: Dreamshore Studio is on 12 acres of shorefront property that also includes our home and Dreamshore Cottage which can be rented with the Studio for additional guests. There is no TV, telephone, or internet. There are several close by areas for Wi-Fi if needed.

There are the remnants of several piers on the shore as this property has been a summer retreat for years - since the 19th century! It is a beautiful, historic, and relaxing property with all the modern conveniences. Close to all the Mount Desert and Down East attractions but without the crowds and expense.

DreamShore Studio Cottage is on the east end of Berry Cove with a view of Mt. Desert Island. With a southwest exposure, there are bright sunny days with gorgeous sunsets. The Cottage has direct access to the shore across the front lawn. The shore is rocky and shale until the low water mark. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about 25 minutes away by car and approximately 3 miles away by water. There are numerous music festivals nearby throughout the summer. Shopping is available in Ellsworth, about 15 minutes away, and there is the Lamoine General Store in town with a good lunch counter. Lamoine State Park is just down the road and Lamoine Beach is just past the Park with a great beach. Blunt's Pond is a 15 minute walk away through the woods for swimming with clear, clean water. This is a fantastic place for a summer vacation with your family.

My husband and I rented this adorable cabin in late August 2011, based on the recommendation of a family member who had been there the prior year.

The property is immaculate, well-maintainted and just perfect for enjoying a relaxing, sightseeing and/ or romantic time by Berry Cove. The owners are so accomodating, friendly and have decorated the cabin with such good taste. The bed is quite comfortable and it is a joy to see the Cove while relaxing there or on the balcony chairs. We saw Eagles and other life on the cove. The cabin feels much larger than its dimensions, and has everything one needs to enjoy their stay. We would highly recommend this property to our friends and family.

There is so much do do in the area such as kayaking, canoeing, biking, visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbour. There are many areas closeby to get great Lobster, enjoy fine dining and even delicious BBQ! It is easy to get to Lamoine as the very friendly Bar Harbour Airport is minutes away.

We are planning to return next summer.
