The floor-to-ceiling walls of glass windows & sliding doors brighten the living spaces with generous natural light and take advantage of the abundant Palm Springs sun and beautiful mountain vistas. The open and spacious layout provides an ideal environment for easy entertaining or relaxing with family and friends. The rooms are artfully appointed with comfort and style at every turn. The furnishings are a combination of vintage mid-century Danish teak as well as 21st century modern classics from Design Within Reach, Herman Miller & Knoll. Bold colorful accents contrast with clean white walls and white tile floors throughout.
The expansive living area uses one open space to connect sitting, lounging and dining areas while flowing smoothly to the private backyard oasis. Enjoy watching a movie on the 46” LED flat screen HDTV with Blu-ray DVD player or listening to your favorite music on the IPOD stereo while gazing at the magnificent western mountain views of San Jacinto & the sparkling pool. There are a variety of options for both casual and formal dining. You may choose the informal breakfast table for 4, the elegant expandable Danish teak table with seating for 8 + or dine under the stars on the glass outdoor dining table with seating for 6. All the accoutrements are provided such as tablecloth, placemats, cloth napkins, plenty of dinnerware and lots of votive candles to set the mood.
The kitchen faces west overlooking the pool area with new stainless kitchen hood & stove, double porcelain sinks, white tile counters & floors, window garden box, ample pantry and cupboards, refrigerator with automatic ice maker, microwave, and much more. There is no wasted space in this small yet fully stocked kitchen outfitted with brand new pots, pans, dinnerware, barware & cooking utensils.
The crown jewel of this property is the large outdoor living space. Lush desert gardens abound every inch of the grounds filled with cactus, towering palm trees, citrus, ficus hedges and many varieties of succulent plants. By day, indulge in a refreshing dip in the heated saltwater pool, soak in the sun and terrific mountain views from the sleek modern lounge chairs or relax under an umbrella or covered patio with a cool drink. By night, enjoy cocktails and conversation while seated around a fun modern gas fire pit, perfect for cozying up to on a brisk desert evening. Or, check out the 5 person jetted spa that can be just as soothing under the canopy of twinkling stars. A natural gas stainless steel BBQ with plenty of alfresco seating and pool floats complete the perfect outdoor experience.
All three bedrooms of this Palm Springs vacation home have glass doors leading to the outdoor patios and gardens, ceiling fans, TVs, modern light fixtures and brand new furniture and bedding. The master suite features a brand new temper pedic CA King mattress, high quality linens, 32” LED flat screen HDTV with Blu-ray DVD player, IPOD doc and glass french doors that open to the outdoor patio with spa tub. I fell in love with Palm Springs after visiting several times on vacation and decided to purchase my own desert hideaway. My primary residence is in Chicago and one day I hope to spend a lot more time in Palm Springs. The reason I chose the Movie Colony East neighborhood is for its large private lots, abundance of charm, mountain views, scenic streets, and close proximity to all major attractions. Within a short walking distance you'll find coffee houses, live theatre, restaurants, boutiques, Spa Resort Casino, art galleries and much more.
Another great feature this property location has to offer is its proximity to Ruth Hardy Park. A beautiful public park with tennis courts, grass vollyball, basketball courts, picnic tables & grills, children's playground, walking paths and rose gardens.

Stayed over Thanksgiving and it was perfect. I even cooked a big meal. The kitchen, although a bit small for Thanksgiving prep, was super well appointed. The open living space was great for our party. The property manager couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Would love to return to this property!
From the wonderfully retro furnishings, to the stunningly landscaped grounds, the Albert Frey was everything we could have hoped for. A perfect location. Minutes away from Ruth Hardy Park and Palm Canyon Dr. (Be there Thursday nights for Villagefest). We will be back. Thanks Daria!
This was our first trip to Palm Sprins and we sought classic vibe and style. The pictures caught our eye and our anticipation was high. After a evening flight and typical airport grind, we arrive at the house at nearly midnight. The management company knew of this late arrival and we were greeted by the warm, soft lighting in the living areas, the pool lights on and shimmering and soft landscaping light framing the house nicely. The pictures do not do justice to the two walls of windows viewing the private yard and pool. The bedrooms and kitchen are largely original with simple updates but very clean and very well maintained. If you are looking for flash or a modern remodel or "Texas" ornate, look elsewhere. The was just right to enjoy a style from the 1950's. The kitchen is small but with clean fresh tiling and modern appliances. But who really cooks intensely on vacation and the outdoor grill is high quality. Cannot say enough how clean everything was the high state of maintence and function. Oh, and how can I forget to mention the very nice view of the mountains when lounging about the pool.
Everyone drives everywhere in Palm Springs and the house was about a mile and half from the main drag. Neighborhood is very quiet and well cared for and easy to find. Stores are about a mile away so have your car keys, but easy straight shot to the grocery.
We have every intention of returning to Palm Springs and this house. It was a very comfortable home away from home and we recommend it highly for a couple, two couples or couple with brood.

Enjoy nearby Joshua Tree National Monument (an extraordinary national park set in the desert) and theme parks within a 2 hour drive including Disneyland (Anaheim), Sea World (San Diego) & Knotts Waterpark.
