Superbly located this 3 bed roomed apartment offers access to the best of London's wide open spaces with Primrose Hill, Regents Park and Hampstead Heath right on the doorstep, yet it is only a 7 minute (4 stops) tube journey to Bond Street station, taking you straight into the heart of Central London for shopping on Oxford Street and Old Bond Street.
The apartment is part of a red brick Victorian building, typical of the area but has a contemporary interior with solid wood flooring, recessed lighting, and large open-plan kitchen and living room. The reception area is flooded with natural light from large, south facing windows which overlook the leafy residential street below. The apartment is well furnished balancing modern and period pieces with not one but three sofas, a flat-screen TV, and fireplace with bookshelves either side in the reception room. The fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel splash backs, a blue breakfast bar and 5-ring gas hob. A full range of cooking pans, cutlery and large serving bowls and platters, as well as herbs and spices to suit everyone's tastes will cater for even the most advanced chefs. In the hallway you will find substantial integrated storage for keeping bags and suitcases out of sight.
Upstairs the three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite) are spacious and light with built in storage to each of the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed with dark wood headboard and bedside tables, two Velux windows and an all white ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds which can be arranged as a large double, a desk and windows in the eaves looking out over Hampstead.The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, floor to ceiling white tiles and wall mounted mirror, WC and basin. The third bedroom has a single bed, a skylight to the eaves above with blackout blind, a leather armchair and bedside light.
Hampstead is an exclusive area of London and the property lies on a quite residential street in part of the South Hampstead conservation area. In the immediate vicinity, the highly acclaimed Hampstead Theatre is just round the corner and the newly opened Odeon Imax cinema and O2 centre Vue cinemas are 7 minutes walk away. The newly built Swiss Cottage Sports Centre is also nearby with squash and badminton courts, gym and spa facilities, a huge climbing wall and swimming pool. The apartment is only five minutes walk from Finchley Road underground station with access to the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines into and across the city. The apartment is close to transport links providing excellent access to throughout London.
We loved this place and by the end of the two weeks it felt like our home! We walked along the Thames at sunset before returning back every evening. Everything was clean, tidy and all the appliances worked. It was great value for money and so nice to have our own sitting room and kitchen. We had some great movie nights.
